According to an in-depth investigative report by The Public Source, families of Lebanese abductees held by Israel are demanding urgent government action to secure the release of dozens of Lebanese citizens abducted during Israeli incursions across southern Lebanon.
The report highlights a systematic pattern of land and sea abductions carried out by occupation forces during so-called ‘truces.’
At least 30 Lebanese—including farmers, fishermen, local officials, and residents returning to check on their homes—are currently detained without charge in Israeli military facilities, with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) confirming it has been denied access to them.
Advocacy groups, including the Lebanese Association for Prisoners and Detainees and the newly formed Popular Campaign for the Freedom of Lebanese Detainees and Abductees, have criticized the Lebanese government for failing to champion the cases through international legal channels.
With diplomatic avenues yielding no results, families of the abducted report placing their sole hope in the resistance and military leverage to force the return of their loved ones.
