AIPAC openly celebrates Florida primary wins as pro-Israel candidates advance to November
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is celebrating a major display of its political influence following Tuesday’s Florida primaries, claiming victory for 21 candidates it backed and described as “pro-Israel.”
Among those advancing are Senator Ashley Moody and Representatives Aaron Bean, Gus Bilirakis, Kat Cammack, Kathy Castor, Mario Diaz-Balart, Randy Fine, Lois Frankel, Scott Franklin, Carlos Gimenez, Mike Haridopolos, Laurel Lee, Anna Paulina Luna, Brian Mast, Jared Moskowitz, Jimmy Patronis, John Rutherford, Maria Elvira Salazar, Darren Soto, Greg Steube, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
AIPAC specifically highlighted several races in which its preferred candidates defeated challengers who opposed or sought to weaken the US-Israel alliance.
The results underscore the extent of AIPAC’s reach across both major US parties, with the lobby stating that more than 254 of its backed candidates have now advanced to the November general election.
