Media Silent as UK Data Show Sharp Increase in Excess Deaths

John Campbell, Ph.D., a retired accident and emergency nurse, nurse teacher and author of two nursing textbooks, analyzed the latest U.K. data showing a sharp increase in excess deaths. Campbell said if this was a terrorist attack “it would be a state of war.”

The data, released last week by the U.K. Office for National Statistics and Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, show that between May and December 2022, 32,441 more deaths than usual were recorded that exclude COVID-19 as a cause of death.

Official U.K. statistics also showed that in the week ending April 21, 2023, the number of deaths exceeded the five-year average by 22.1% (2,540 excess deaths), while in the week ending April 28, the excess figure was 12.9% (1,569 excess deaths). Only 3.8% of deaths during this period mentioned COVID-19 in the death certificates.

John Campbell, Ph.D., a retired accident and emergency nurse, nurse teacher and author of two nursing textbooks, analyzed the data in a YouTube video recorded last week.

According to Campbell’s analysis, there was an increase in excess deaths across all age groups and a significant rise in cardiovascular-related deaths, deaths from respiratory-related conditions were lower than expected.

‘Just imagine this was a terrorist attack … it would be a state of war’

According to Campbell, the official data show “increased deaths are occurring in all age groups in 2022 and into 2023,” and that this trend is being observed “in many, many countries.”

“These are not COVID deaths,” Campbell noted. “These are caused by other factors, raising serious questions as to why so many died.”

Calling the 4,190 excess deaths recorded in the last two weeks of April “a huge amount,” Campbell likened the figure to the death toll from a terrorist attack. He also compared the attention a terrorist act would have receive to the lack of attention the excess deaths appear to be receiving. He said:

“Just imagine this was a terrorist attack [where] 4,190 people were killed. It would be a state of war.

“But because people are dying in different settings … the government just don’t seem to be commenting on it at all, with the notable exception of some MPs [members of Parliament]. But very little on this, tragically.”

Sharp rise in cardiovascular deaths

Higher-than-average excess deaths were recorded even in the 0-24 and 25-49 age groups, Campbell said.

“I’m afraid it’s quite clear that the excess deaths are affecting all age groups,” Campbell said. “So, the explanations that we need to derive as to why this catastrophe is occurring needs to take this into account.”

Campbell said the data show a sharp uptick in deaths due to cardiovascular issues and strokes.

“The question is not so much the cardiovascular disease, it’s what is causing the increase in the cardiovascular disease,” he said. “That is the critical question that just doesn’t seem to be getting asked, why is cardiovascular disease increased?”

According to Campbell, the increase is specifically observed in the category of ischemic heart disease — in other words, “a myocardial infarction, a heart attack.”

Significant increases also were observed in the number of deaths due to heart failure, Campbell said, adding that “It does not tell us why more people are dying of heart failure. This is what needs to be interrogated urgently.”

Deaths due to cerebrovascular disease — strokes — also “unequivocally” increased, Campbell noted.

Conversely, the number of deaths due to respiratory disease was “way less … than we would expect,” he said. “You would have thought it’s an aftereffect of the pandemic, which was primarily affecting the lungs … In actual fact, we’re seeing less, indicating there’s other factors at play here.”

Official data also showed that excess deaths in private homes were 23% above average, while the respective figures for hospitals, care homes and “other” settings, were 10.7%, 8.4% and 14.3%, respectively.

‘Very little in the mainstream media’

Campbell said that “sadly,” there’s “very little in the mainstream media about this” data on excess deaths. “The BBC, for example, seems to be saying essentially nothing about this. This is a cause for concern in itself,” he said.

Campbell cited one exception — The Mirror, a British tabloid that last week reported, “Brits are dying in their tens of thousands — and we don’t really have any idea why.”

According to The Mirror, “Tens of thousands more Brits died than usual from May to December 2022, excluding COVID as a cause of death, raising serious questions as to why so many died.”

Experts quoted by The Mirror did not draw a connection between the higher-than-average excess death figures and COVID-19 vaccination.

In remarks shared with The Mirror, David Coleman, M.A., Ph.D., emeritus professor of demography at the University of Oxford and research associate in Oxford’s Department of Social Policy and Intervention, said that after the deaths of many elderly, which he attributed to COVID-19, “there should be a period afterwards where deaths are lower than usual but that hasn’t happened.”

He attributed this to two reasons: increased obesity in the population and — seemingly contradicting his previous statement — an aging population. He did not explain why deaths related to obesity would be resulting in higher-than-average excess deaths at this point in time.

For Campbell though, the increase in excess deaths “is an underreported global phenomenon, what we could call a pandemic … certainly affecting many Western countries, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Europe, places like that.”

Many Pregnant Women Were Forced to Get COVID Shots. Here’s What Happened to Them

While a typical vaccine must undergo 10 to 12 years of trials before it’s released, during the pandemic, COVID-19 shots were made available to the public just 10 months after development, courtesy of an Emergency Use Authorization.

Even pregnant women were subjected to the shots, and in many cases were mandated to receive them.

“The pushing of these experimental COVID-19 vaccines globally is the greatest violation of medical ethics in the history of medicine, maybe humanity,” Dr. James Thorp, a maternal-fetal medicine expert, told Tucker Carlson (see video below).

Thorp and colleagues published a preprint study that found striking risks to pregnant women who received the shots, along with their unborn babies.

The outcomes were so dire that the researchers concluded pregnant women should not receive COVID-19 shots until further research is completed.

The researchers explained:

“A worldwide moratorium on the use of COVID-19 vaccines in pregnancy is advised until randomized prospective trials document safety in pregnancy and long-term follow-up in offspring.”

COVID shots linked to 27-fold higher risk of miscarriage

Thorp and colleagues used data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) to assess adverse events experienced by women of reproductive age following receipt of a COVID-19 shot, compared to receipt of a flu shot.

The researchers compared to the flu vaccine, COVID-19 shots were associated with a significant increase in adverse events (AE), including:

Miscarriage
Fetal chromosomal abnormalities
Fetal malformation
Fetal cystic hygroma
Fetal cardiac disorders
Fetal arrhythmia
Fetal cardiac arrest
Fetal vascular malperfusion
Fetal growth abnormalities
Fetal abnormal surveillance
Fetal placental thrombosis
Low amniotic fluid
Fetal death/stillbirth

The researchers noted:

“When normalized by time-available, doses-given, or persons-received, all COVID-19 vaccine AE far exceed the safety signal on all recognized thresholds … Pregnancy and menstrual abnormalities are significantly more frequent following COVID-19 vaccinations than that of Influenza vaccinations.”

Specifically, the data revealed a 27-fold higher risk of miscarriage and a more than two-fold increased risk of adverse fetal outcomes across six different categories, according to board-certified internist and cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough.

Were nurses issued gag order against speaking out?

Problems began to appear shortly after COVID-19 shots were rolled out, such that a leaked email from a large California hospital was sent out in warning to 200 nurses.

The email, from September 2022, contained the subject line, “Demise Handling,” referring to an increase in stillbirths and fetal deaths.

A TCW report by journalist Sally Beck shared the email’s content, which read:

“It seems as though the increase of demise patients [babies] that we are seeing is going to continue. There were 22 demises [stillbirths and fetal deaths] in August [2022], which ties [equals] the record number of demises in July 2021, and so far in September [2022] there have been 7 and it’s only the 8th day of the month.”

Beck reports that one nurse, Michelle Gershman, who works in the neonatal ward had her bonus withheld because she spoke out about the rise in fetal deaths.

“We used to have one fetal demise per month. That rose to one or two per week,” Gershman said.

Beck reported:

“Her experience, and the experience of doctors working with pregnant women, is contrary to official ‘safe and effective’ observation and advice, but no one was free to speak out because of a gagging order imposed in September 2021 by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). …”

“At the beginning of the rollout, in December 2020, pregnant women who were healthcare workers or deemed to be at risk from COVID began receiving the shots. By May 2021, the vaccine was being recommended to all pregnant American women, despite the fact that none of the vaccine manufacturers had completed reproductive toxicology reports in animals, and none had started clinical trials in pregnant women.

“Two months later, hospitals noticed a huge increase in miscarriage, stillbirth, preterm births, pregnancy complications and menstrual abnormalities.”

Thorp’s study also reported that Pfizer’s data showed COVID-19 shot contents are biodistributed into the bloodstream within hours and cross “all physiologic barriers including the maternal-placental-fetal barrier and the blood brain barriers in both the mother and the fetus.”

Health officials made the recommendation that COVID-19 shots are safe and effective for pregnant women based on a 42-day study from Pfizer involving 44 rats.

Shocking decline in birth rates post-COVID shots

Birth rates in multiple European countries fell significantly in the end of 2021, months after COVID-19 shots became widely utilized.

The data, compiled by a team of European researchers, found declines in birth rates in all the countries they studied, including:

The team explained:

“In advance it should be noted that every single examined European country shows a monthly decline in birth rates of up to more than 10% compared to the last three years. It can be shown that this very alarming signal cannot be explained by infections with COVID-19.

“However, one can establish a clear temporal correlation to COVID vaccinations incidence in the age group of men and women between 18 and 49 years. Therefore, in-depth statistical and medical analyses have to be demanded.”

The declines in birth rates ranged from a low of 1.3% in France to a high of 19% in Romania.

Seven countries had a decline in birth rate of more than 10%, while 15 countries had declines of greater than 4%. Switzerland’s drop was said to have exceeded the drop that occurred from World War I, World War II, the Great Depression and the release of oral contraceptives.

No connection was found between the declines in birth rates and COVID-19 infections or hospitalizations, with the team noting:

“Adverse reactions related to the female reproductive organs and study findings related to male fertility point to a causal interpretation of the association of birth declines and the Covid-19 vaccinations.”

COVID shots affect menstrual cycles

It remains unknown how COVID-19 shots affect reproductive health in men and women.

For instance, The Vaccine Reaction reported:

“To date, the manufacturer’s insert for FDA-approved COVID shots explicitly states that it has not been tested for the potential to impair male fertility.”

However, data on U.S. infertility after the rollout of COVID shots aren’t available.

Meanwhile, women around the globe have reported changes in their menstrual cycles following COVID-19 shots, and health officials largely brushed off the reports or labeled them anecdotal.

But a study published in Obstetrics & Gynecology — and funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and the National Institutes of Health Office of Research on Women’s Health — confirms an association between menstrual cycle length and COVID-19 shots.

Clinical trials for COVID-19 shots did not collect data about menstrual cycles following injection, and VAERS does not actively collect menstrual cycle information either, making it difficult to initially determine whether the shots were having an effect.

Anecdotal reports on social media, however, are numerous and, according to the study, “suggest menstrual disturbances are much more common.”

The Obstetrics & Gynecology study involved 3,959 individuals between the ages of 18 and 45 years. Those who had not received a COVID-19 shot noted no significant changes in cycle 4 during the study compared to their first three cycles.

However, those who received COVID-19 shots had longer menstrual cycles, typically by less than one day, when they received the shots.

The longer cycles were noted for both doses of the injection, with a 0.71-day increase after the first dose and a 0.91-day increase after the second dose.

At least 16,183 people say they’ve developed tinnitus after receiving a COVID-19 shot.^1,² The reports were filed with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) database. But considering only between 1%³ and 10%⁴ of adverse reactions are ever reported to VAERS, the actual number is likely much higher.

Tinnitus causes a perception of sound in the ear without an external source. While the sound is often described as ringing in the ears, it can also be a whistling, buzzing, hissing, clicking, swooshing or roaring sensation. In rare cases, it can even sound like music.⁵ An estimated 10% to 25% of adults, as well as children, suffer from tinnitus of varying degrees.⁶

Of the approximately 25 million Americans who live with tinnitus, 5 million have chronic tinnitus that’s burdensome while 2 million describe the condition as debilitating.⁷ Now, with so many people developing tinnitus after COVID-19 shots, theories have emerged about the possible connection.

Shots May Trigger Chronic Inflammation, Other Risk Factors

Shaowen Bao, an associate professor at the University of Arizona, Tucson, who’s also a representative of the American Tinnitus Association’s scientific advisory board, has been researching tinnitus for more than 10 years. He’s also a tinnitus sufferer. A support group on social media created for people who developed tinnitus after a COVID-19 shot contacted Bao to study the potential link.

He surveyed 398 people from the group, who tended to suffer from severe tinnitus along with symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, vertigo, ear pain, anxiety and depression.⁸

While Bao is still analyzing his findings, he told NBC News that tinnitus tended to develop after the first dose of a COVID-19 shot, suggesting “the vaccine is interacting with preexisting risk factors for tinnitus. If you have the risk factor, you will probably get it from the first dose.”⁹ He also suggested chronic inflammation in the brain or spinal cord could be involved.

The CDC also looked into a link between COVID-19 shots and tinnitus. The agency said it didn’t find any connection, but their review hasn’t been made public.¹⁰ Dr. Harlan Krumholz, director of the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation at Yale University, is also studying tinnitus as it relates to COVID-19 shots and long COVID, as part of the Yale LISTEN study.¹¹

“Tinnitus is a prominent symptom in many people with long COVID and in those with vaccine-associated conditions,” he told USA Today.¹² “We are seeking to bring together many people with this symptom and hope we can learn together what might be the cause — on the path toward evidence-based strategies to help these people.”

Dr. Konstantina Stankovic, an otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon who directs the Stanford Medicine Molecular Neurotology Laboratory, is also leading research to uncover how COVID-19 and COVID-19 shots may be affecting auditory function — and whether tinnitus is a side effect of the shots.

“My email is being bombarded by people from across the world who really feel that they don’t have a voice,” she told NBC News. “They feel that they’re being dismissed, that people don’t take them seriously, and yet they tell me in very moving ways how they can tie it to the vaccine.”¹³

Vaccine Proponent Gets Tinnitus After COVID-19 Shot

While media and health officials alike often brush off anecdotal reports of vaccine reactions, when Dr. Gregory Poland developed tinnitus after a COVID-19 shot, people took notice.

Poland is the director of the Mayo Clinic’s Vaccine Research Group in Rochester, Minnesota. He’s also a paid scientific adviser for Johnson & Johnson and a vaccine development consultant for Moderna and other pharmaceutical companies.¹⁴ When the tinnitus first struck — on his drive home from his second COVID-19 shot, “It startled me,” Poland said. “I thought it was a dog whistle going off right next to me.”¹⁵

Poland has been suffering from tinnitus for two years and says he receives emails nearly every day from people who say they also developed tinnitus after a COVID-19 shot. He says he’s frustrated by the CDC’s lack of action on the issue. “Why has the CDC not done all of the research that they should do on this and published it?” he stated to NBC News.¹⁶

Some days, he says, the tinnitus is so bad “I could just scream … You don’t ever get over tinnitus.”¹⁷ It’s unusual that a person of Poland’s background and close ties to Big Pharma would speak out about vaccine-induced tinnitus. But he told NBC News, “I refuse to be anything less than transparent. I refuse to cherry-pick the information that should be presented to people to make good decisions.”¹

Is Molecular Mimicry Behind Shot-Induced Tinnitus?

A review published in the Annals of Medicine & Surgery looked at the potential mechanisms behind vaccine-associated-tinnitus.¹⁹ Molecular mimicry is one possibility. It occurs when similarities between different antigens confuse the immune system.

There are often significant similarities between elements in the vaccine and human proteins, which can lead to immune cross-reactivity. When this occurs, researchers explained in Cellular & Molecular Immunology, “… the reaction of the immune system towards the pathogenic antigens may harm the similar human proteins, essentially causing autoimmune disease.”²⁰

In relation to COVID-19 shots, specifically, researchers wrote in the Journal of Autoimmunity, “Indeed, antibodies against the spike protein S1 of SARS-CoV-2 had a high affinity against some human tissue proteins. As vaccine mRNA codes the same viral protein, they can trigger autoimmune diseases in predisposed patients.”²¹ The Annals of Medicine & Surgery researchers explained:²²

“Based on the mechanisms behind other COVID-19 vaccine-induced disorders and the phenomenon of molecular mimicry, a cross-reactivity between anti-spike SARS-CoV-2 antibodies and otologic antigens is a possibility. The heptapeptide resemblance between coronavirus spike glycoprotein and numerous human proteins further supports molecular mimicry as a potential mechanism behind such vaccine-induced disorders.

Several autoimmune conditions, including vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) and Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), have been reported following coronavirus vaccination. Anti-spike antibodies may potentially react with antigens anywhere along the auditory pathway and initiate an inflammatory reaction involving the tympanic membrane, ossicular chain, cochlea, cochlear vessels, organ of Corti, etc.”

Americans are done slaving away for a pittance at large corporations run by overpaid executives – either that or too many of them have gotten sick or died from getting “vaccinated” for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) and are no longer able to work.

Whatever the case may be, there are now far fewer people working post-“pandemic” than there were pre-“pandemic” – and the supply chains are collapsing because of it.

Caroline Chumakov, the keynote speaker at this year’s Gartner Supply Chain Symposium, delivered the bad news during a packed opening session, which saw in attendance more than 3,200 people.

“Will we leave a supply chain that lights up careers, feeds global economics, and sustains our planet?” Chumakov asked her audience, revealing that employee turnover is off the charts, as is a lack of employee engagement.

“Only a quarter of our employees are highly engaged and only 16 percent of them are willing to go above and beyond in their jobs,” Chumakov further griped, adding that employee turnover in the supply chain is up 33 percent compared to what it was before COVID-19. The global economy is done

Chumakov went on to complain that most supply chain employees have checked out, and many of them are choosing to “quiet quit,” which is becoming a serious problem for the top dogs who “need their labor,” she explained.

“You notice that one of your employees that typically sits in front of the room at a meeting and is very interactive, asking questions is now sitting in the back of the room,” further complained Jose Reyes, a senior director and analyst at Gartner, defining this “quiet quitting” phenomenon that is being seen all across the supply chains.

“And you realize that’s been happening frequently, say for the last couple of months. They’re not engaged and they’re not asking questions.”

Chumakov was more direct in stating that productivity in the supply chain “is at its lowest point in decades” – and probably has a whole lot more to fall before the global economy hits rock bottom.

“The human story is one of progress,” Chumakov went on to opine, trying to sound inspirational. “Have we really reached peak human productivity?”

Unfortunately for those whose jobs rely on other people giving it their all so they can personally benefit at the others’ expense, such an arrangement is no longer working for an increasing number of workers who have had enough of such a scheme.

A recent Gallup survey found that disengaged workers are costing the economy $7.8 trillion in lost productivity worldwide. This is bad news for the fat cats whose obscene salaries, benefits, pensions, and golden parachutes rely on all that cheap labor.

“How much of that $7.8 trillion is hitting my bottom line, and two, how do I avoid having a similar impact or any impact in my organization?” Reyes stated to the room after citing the poll’s results.

Reyes and other supply chain leaders are strategizing new ways to try to keep their often underpaid and overworked employees engaged, but will it work? One thing Reyes says logistics executives need to keep an eye out for is if a manager suddenly stops coaching his employees.

“So that in itself can lead to their direct reports quitting quietly,” Reyes said. “They’re not getting any feedback and it’s not a good feeling to be in.”

With how the world has changed for the worse since covid, it is really no surprise that many are checking out of the system. After all, what do they stand to gain from being milked dry and tossed to the curb by the globalist “elite,” leaving them with no chance of a future?

UN calls for decriminalization of all sexual activity, including pedophilia

A new report authored by the International Committee of Jurists (ICJ), UNAIDS, and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) calls for the decriminalization of not only all forms of drug use but also all expressions of sexuality, including pedophilia.

Released on International Women’s Day, the report states that its goal is to guide “the application of international human rights law to criminal law.” It refers to the “8 March principles,” which call for all offenses related to “sex, drug use, HIV, sexual and reproductive health, homelessness and poverty” to be decriminalized.

While the War on Drugs is certainly a scourge on humanity, tying it to sexual liberation in the form of overt child abuse is simply disgusting – but par for the course when it comes to the type of thing we would expect from the United Nations.

“Criminal law is among the harshest of tools at the disposal of the State to exert control over individuals … as such, it ought to be a measure of last resort however, globally, there has been a growing trend towards overcriminalization,” said Ian Seiderman, the Law and Policy Director at ICJ, in a press release.

“We must acknowledge that these laws not only violate human rights, but the fundamental principles of criminal law themselves.”

Much of the report contains things that many people today would consider to be reasonable and compassionate. One example is the proposed reversal of Richard Nixon’s War on Drugs, which would allow for people who use drugs to receive help and rehabilitation rather than a criminal record.

It is the sex between adults and minors portion of the UN proposal that makes this whole decriminalization scheme a Trojan Horse for legalized sex abuse against children – and one that cannot be allowed to pass.

“With respect to the enforcement of criminal law, any prescribed minimum age of consent to sex must be applied in a non-discriminatory manner,” the proposal states. “Enforcement may not be linked to the sex / gender of participants or age of consent to marriage.”

“Moreover, sexual conduct involving persons below the domestically prescribed minimum age of consent to sex may be consensual, in fact, if not in law. In this context, the enforcement of criminal law should reflect the rights and capacity of persons under 18 years of age to make decisions about engaging in consensual sexual conduct and their right to be heard in matters concerning them.”

“Pursuant to their evolving capacities and progressive autonomy, persons under 18 years of age should participate in decisions affecting them, with due regard to their age, maturity and best interests, and with specific attention to non-discrimination guarantees.”

It is a fact that a child is not capable of truly consenting to sexual activity with an adult. An underage child is innocent and not fully formed or developed, and is thus not capable of making such a decision in the same way as an adult.

Not only that, but children deserve to keep that innocence for as long as possible.

The UN, however, is infested with the types of perverts who want to legalize such evil to fulfill their own wicked desires. This is why the bill calls for all criminal laws related to sex work to be abolished, including for those who perpetrate such crimes on innocents, i.e., sex traffickers, pimps, and abusers.

“In turn, this serves the abortion industry as well, which has aided traffickers and abusers by failing to report suspected abuse and returning victims to their abusers after their abortions,” warns Live Action.

“Decriminalizing sex work, sex crimes against minors, and abortion would only serve to doubly suit traffickers and abusers, who are known to use abortion as a means to cover up their crimes.”

The same network that called Tucker Carlson a “Right-wing extremist” has decided to put Donald Trump back on prime time. As their hypocrisy comes full circle, a pathetic #boycottcnn hashtag bloomed on Twitter. As if.

CNN’s ratings were in near-total collapse when Trump threw them a lifeline. By contrast, the Murdochs dumped their best ratings-getter for speaking too many uncomfortable truths.

To many on the Left, reality and truth are negotiable. They can fool themselves into believing Carlson was dumped for being a “racist” and “inciting violence.” But Fox News clearly had no idea what they had with Tucker Carlson and now they’ve taken one step closer to their own demise.

The thing about evolution – there are only two options: adapt or die. Tucker Carlson is choosing adaption, taking his chances with the free market and the energy driven by those who can readily access his videos instead of making sure they are in the right place at the right time, or finding it later on Youtube.

No, this is not an era of waiting. It’s not an era of organizing your life around scheduled programming. This is an era of on-demand media. No members of Generation-Z or any that come up after them will have any clue there was once such a thing as cable news.

They will never understand tribal warfare going to battle on the cable news networks. They will never understand the muscular champion dropping their most popular host and taking such a major hit, and why that was such a big deal. They will think it all sounds so preposterous, so silly.

They don’t remember the landline either, when one family had a phone and if you wanted to call someone you had to take your chances with whomever might answer. They have no idea what it means to say, “Is Susan there?” Or “May I please speak to Susan?”

They don’t know about writing checks for cash at the market or how to use a message machine. They don’t know beepers or ice delivery or milkmen. They can’t know life before the iPhone or GPS or Door Dash or Netflix. Their world is one of give it to me right now.

While it’s true that they will wait a week for the latest Kardashian episode, an hour of news in primetime is definitely not their bag. If they get news at all, they get it through social media – Tik Tok mainly, or Instagram, or Twitter.

Carlson had a way of cutting through the noise and somehow reaching that generation who, if they were curious at all about how censorious and oppressive thought and speech have become, would be just as excited to find the treasure trove of free thought Fox News had with their popular host.

With Carlson now on Twitter that makes it much sexier, more alive than it’s ever been, and boy, has it caused an uproar, as one might imagine. He probably isn’t going to remain permanently on Twitter but will begin to build a platform there before making his show available on his own site, TuckerCarlson.com.

Trump’s invasion of Twitter once upon a time was bad enough. It kicked the country into mass chaos because the media narrative bounced off Twitter hysteria.

One reason so many tuned into Carlson, as opposed to reading Substack, is the human face. We want to see people telling us things as opposed to reading words on a screen. That is what drives the popularity of Tik Tok now. No need for memes or emojis if you have the OG. That’s what I love about this deal – Tucker is making Twitter a more multi-media experience, and that’s a good adaptation for the app. And for us.

By now, users are learning what they always needed to know all along, at least those with a backbone sticking around instead of scurrying off to more insulated, protected spaces.

The way you adapt to dissenting voices and diverse thoughts and opinions is to learn to live with it. If you try to shut it out or silence it, you must become authoritarian, fascist even.

I wasn’t a Fox News watcher. Like everyone else on the Left, I was comfortable mocking them, sneering at them, loving every minute of HBO’s Succession. Once I began to see, though, that so much of what I thought was true about the other half of America wasn’t true at all, I was motivated to investigate Tucker Carlson. Who was he? Was he as bad as they said he was? Was he a racist?

What brought me to his show was the Summer of 2020. I was sick of being lied to and gaslighted by the media over COVID and the protests. The only voice I could find online willing to go there was Tucker Carlson.

He was willing to shake off accusations that just criticizing what we were seeing unfolding on the streets was racist. That kind of courage was in short supply back then. So much of what he said continues to resonate today because it was true.

Defund the Police was a disaster for the residents in many of the cities destroyed that Summer. And it still is. The Democrats continue to pretend like they had nothing to do with that. But because someone was willing to tell the truth back then, we have a record of it.

Tucker Carlson told the truth and spared no one in his assessment of how things went down, and he even went after Trump, which made his coverage more balanced than anyone else on cable news, especially on the Left.

From then on, I tuned in to hear what he had to say every night because I knew that no matter what else, he would give it to me straight. And he would talk about things no one on the Left dared but that the American people were genuinely worried about, like “gender affirming care,” like women’s sports.

It was always a relief to know his show had such high ratings because that meant people were watching and listening. They will still try to sideline what he talks about but at least he’s out there, still willing to speak out.

To my friends on the Left, this is high treason, but for me, at some point, I was not able to keep up the facade. I’d rather be where I am now, exiled and hated, than be living what I know now was a lie.

If the moral panic is that there are racists, racists everywhere, then one can only imagine what it would be like to be someone who watches Tucker Carlson. But I have come to see this moment as another in those regrettable eras of purges and persecutions.

Why would anyone support a political movement that tries to silence so much of what makes this country uniquely diverse, not just in terms of skin color, but in thought, and speech?

People crave honesty now, so much so that Carlson’s announcement of his new show already has 23 million views in one day. On their best night, Fox would get around 4 million views. And usually, only Carlson could get those numbers.
