Putin’s Truth Bomb

By Dmitry Orlov
On February 24, 2022, in the midst of launching the Special Military Operation, Putin dropped a truth bomb:
«Сами американские политики, политологи и журналисты пишут и говорят о том, что внутри США создана в последние годы настоящая империя лжи. Трудно с этим не согласиться, так оно и есть.»
“American politicians, political scientists and journalists themselves write and talk about the fact that a real empire of lies has been created inside the United States in recent years. It’s hard to disagree with that, that’s the way it is.”The only part of this statement with which I might take issue is “in recent years.”
The US has been fed on a steady diet of lies since its inception: that the Plymouth Plantation was created by Pilgrims rather than colonizers; that they celebrated Thanksgiving with the local Algonquians (whose kitchen gardens they looted and who despised them); that the American revolution was anything more than a tax revolt and that the Boston Tea Party was over tea rather than opium; that the American Civil War was over slavery rather than industrialization (British vs. North American); that the Americans rather than the Soviets won World War II; that Americans had been to the moon five times rather than zero…
It’s possible to go on in this vein virtually ad infinitum.Over the years I’ve tackled a lot of these hoaxes one by one, including such novelties as the Ozone hoax (which disappeared as soon as the Dupont patent on non-CFC refrigerant expired), the CO2 hoax (still going strong while we wait for the collapse of the Green Energy scam). The gender scam (the notion that normal, healthy mammals can be anything other than male or female) is still a bit too hot to handle, although it is showing signs of being ready to implode on its own (Bud Lite™, anyone?).
[…]
What definitely got Putin’s attention was the statement issued by the White House on September 2, 2020, on the 75th anniversary of the ending of World War II, part of which read as follows: “The American victory on September 2, 1945, marked the end of the most devastating war in history, securing peace and freedom across the globe.” What?! Americans won World War II? Who knew?
Here, the case that the Americans are lying (again) is quite easy to make. There were two major theaters of war in World War II: Europe and Asia. In Europe the war ended when the Red Army entered Berlin and mounted the victory flag on the Reichstag on May 1, 1945. In Asia the war ended when the Red Army flushed the Japanese Kwantung Army out of the mainland and accepted Gen. Yamada Otozo’s surrender on August 16, 1945, a day after Emperor Hirohito capitulated. The idea that American or British participation in either of those conflicts was somehow consequential or decisive is fanciful. In the east, Hirohito’s signing of the “Instrument of Surrender” on September 2, 1945 was pure theater. It was the Soviet blitzkrieg on the mainland, not the American island-hopping, aerial bombardment or even the two atomic blasts, that made Japan’s surrender inevitable. Here is a nice map of the main event:
re, it is sufficient to look at some dates. The fate of the Third Reich was sealed at Stalingrad on February 2, 1943. After that, all that remained was for the Red Army to liberate a huge amount of territory. Only 16 months later, on June 6, 1944, did the US and Britain saw it fit to enter the conflict by staging the Normandy invasion. Since most of the German troops, along with plenty of other Western Europeans who had volunteered to fight for Hitler, were tied up on the eastern front, the American and British takeover of everything west of Berlin was pretty much a cakewalk. Nevertheless, they took care to bomb quite a few German medieval cities, barbarous destruction being a calling card of theirs. Here is how matters stood on the eastern front on the day of the Normandy invasion: the entirety of the USSR had already been liberated and the liberation of Warsaw was in progress.
There are all sorts of lies, from the ridiculous (“I didn’t know the homework was assigned, so I didn’t do it, then I lost it, and then my dog ate it!”) to the sublime (“You are the most beautiful woman I have every laid my eyes on!”). But some lies are existentially important, to the point that no further dialogue, polite or otherwise, is possible, and “Americans won World War II”, if you happen to be Russian, is just such a lie.You may want to find out the truth yourself, just to become clear in your own mind as to what really happened.
Alas, the vast majority of what you can read about World War II in English is, again, packed with lies. If your country, from its inception, has subsisted on a steady diet of lies, then attempting to find out the truth becomes something of a fool’s errand. All that’s left to do is to process the consequences of that great, existential lie.nd the consequences are guaranteed to be dire. The Russians sat up and took notice, and an entire great raft of lavishly financed American propaganda went up in smoke. All of those American lies, many more than the ones I listed here, have been put on display, bantered about and laughed at.
- They suddenly remembered that the Americans make pathetic soldiers and have consecutively lost Korea, Vietnam, Iraq (to Iran), Afghanistan, Syria and are now busy losing their proxy war in the former Ukraine.
- They realized that the American military (and all of NATO with it) is a hopeless, pathetic, overpriced boondoggle, still capable of causing wanton destruction and dangerous because of all of its toys that go “Bang!” but utterly incapable of winning the peace. They have been watching with great interest the overwhelming criminality and corruption of the American (and with it the European) ruling class that’s been bubbling up to the surface of late and taking note of the fact that nothing is being done about any of that: the Clintons, and the Bidens, and a whole mob of crooked Feds, are still not in jail!
- They remembered that it is the Russians who are the best soldiers in the world, followed by the Ukrainians (since they are also Russian, but they made the bad mistake of turning on Russia and most of their great soldiers are now dead). If you have any doubts about this, take a look at this map. It shows the extent of the Russians’ natural habitat. Only the Russians, with a population smaller than Bangladesh, are capable of defending such a vast area.
- From publicly available documents they learned what it is that the Americans want to do with them: the Americans want to break up Russia into small, easily digestible pieces. Needless to say, they didn’t much like the idea. But this gave them an idea they did like: what if the US were broken up into individual states and counties? Of course, they wouldn’t be the ones to do it, being otherwise engaged. But what if the Americans were to do this to themselves?
- And then they noticed, to their great surprise, that the Americans do seem to be heading in that general direction all on their own, without anyone’s help: bankrupting themselves by making their dollar toxic and imposing ridiculous economic sanctions on themselves, stirring up rancor and disunity over silly issues such as “gender” and losing friends and influence left and right through their arrogance, ignorance and deceit. They even provide their enemies with teachable moments, such as holding a G7 meeting in Hiroshima, like a criminal returning to the scene of a crime, while refusing to apologize for the entirely unnecessary atrocity they had committed there.
The Tiananmen Square Hoax: Massacre or Failed Color Revolution?
By Matthew Ehret
In this episode of The Multipolar Reality on Rogue News, I take a deep dive into the truth of Tiananmen Square and prove that everything you’ve been taught about this Massacre on June 4, 1989 is a lie covering up a CIA-driven attempt at color revolution more akin to Ukraine’s Maidan in 2014.
This presentation will also introduce the origins of the National Endowment for Democracy from the bowels of the Trilateral Commission, Open Society Foundations, the Malthusian takeover of the trans-Atlantic, the Club of Rome and the hive of transhumanists who were more successful with their program to destroy Russia during the 1980s-1990s than they were to achieve their takeover of China.
The deep state of China is here mapped out taking us into the network around disgraced Communist Party chairman Zhao Ziyang and his nest of technocratic fifth columnists who tried to turn China into a slave colony under the thumb of the Trilateral Commission social engineers. And yes, Miles Guo, Jimmy Lai and Falun Gong play a role in this sordid tale.

The Vedic Origin of India’s Castes
Cosmic Man
Episode 4 Indo-European Vedic Culture
A History of India
Michael Fisher (2016)
Film Review
The word caste is from Portuguese “Casta” (meaning breed), which explorer Vasco Da Gama applied to the social divisions he observed when he arrived in India. The correct Hindu term for the four “orders” of human beings is “Varna.”
According to the Vedas,* the earliest Vedic clans were herders. Their priests had a role sacrificing animals, as well as reciting the Vedas from memory. Later clans developed specialized military skills to fight other clans, as well as Indus Valley descendants and Adavasi whose land they coveted. Others remained pastoralists and farmers.
The creation of the four Varnas is described in a late Vedic hymn describing the sacrifice of the cosmic man with 10 arms and legs. Each part of cosmic man became an order of human beings.
- His mouth became the Brahmins (priests and later bards with the emergence of janapatta**)
- His arms became the Kshatriya (rulers)
- His thighs became the Vaishya (the people who produce children and material goods)
- His feet became the Sudra (people who serve others)
At present the first two Varnas comprise 20% of North India’s population and the last two 55%. The remaining 25% are non-Varna Indians known as Untouchables. According to Fisher, most Untouchables are of Adivasi descent.
The Jati are more localized hereditary groups reflecting regional industries and conditions. Common Jati include weavers, goldsmiths, herders, warriors and professional priests. Farmers tend to come from several Jati. Each Varna contains thousands of Jati, with an estimated 10,000 – 20,000 Jati overall. People tend to marry within their own Jati.
Jatis are also associated with specific diets. Some are pure vegetarians and some also eat fish or specific types of meat. The Brahmans discontinued animal sacrifices in the 10th or 11th century AD and substituted plant-based materials.
During the Vedic period (1500-600BC), India was divided into five to six hundred janapatta, each with their own raja (who could be a king, prince or temporary war leader). Many janapatta also had councils representing leading clans. Janapatta traded with one another, especially following the creation of silver and copper coins and shuni (trade guilds) in the 6th century BC.
This led to the emergence a new Jati for transporters, who loaded goods on the backs of bullocks (heavy rains made it too difficult to maintain roads for cart transport).
There was also some trade with Adivasi (who also engaged in period raids) for forest products.
*Written between 1500 and 500 BC, the Vedas form the basis of the Hindu religion.
**It became common for the raja who ran janapatta (aka majajanapatta) to hire bards to sing their praises.

Pressure mounts against US occupation of north-east Syria

Reports are coming of a sizeable Russian military convoy heading for the east of Deir Ezzor governorate in the north-east of Syria. This deployment of Russian troops coincides with reports of the arrival of Iranian military equipment to the area and the extensive build up of Syrian Arab Army 17th Infantry Divisions on the banks of the Euphrates river.
On the 1st of June the CIA-aligned Washington Post published an article entitled ‘Iran plans to escalate attacks against U.S. troops in Syria, documents show’. WAPO claims that the discord leaks exposed a ‘covert plan to kill Americans [which] is seen as part of a larger Russian-backed strategy to oust the US from Syria’. According to WAPO:
Iran is arming militants in Syria for a new phase of lethal attacks against U.S. troops in the country, while also working with Russia on a broader strategy to drive Americans from the region, intelligence officials and leaked classified documents say.
Of course we should ask why WAPO needs leaked documents or intelligence officials to inform them that Syrians do not appreciate the illegal occupation of one third of Syrian territory, unlawful US military bases, regular kidnap and killings of Syrian civilians by US military, theft of oil and agricultural resources on top of a twelve year hybrid war to topple the Syrian government using terrorist proxies. Could WAPO or other US media outlets not figure out for themselves that a push back against US violation of international law was inevitable using the alliances that have supported Syria throughout history? I guess not.
The article goes on:
Iran and its allies are building and training forces to use more powerful armor-piercing roadside bombs intended specifically to target U.S. military vehicles and kill U.S. personnel, according to classified intelligence reports obtained by The Washington Post. Such attacks would constitute an escalation of Iran’s long-running campaign of using proxy militias to launch rocket and drone strikes on U.S. forces in Syria.
Drone attacks have wounded six U.S. service members and killed a Defense Department contractor, and the new explosive devices could add to the toll of U.S. casualties, risking a wider military confrontation with Iran, current and former intelligence analysts and weapons experts say. The same type of weapon, called an explosively formed penetrator, or EFP, was used by pro-Iranian insurgents in lethal attacks against American military convoys during the U.S. occupation of Iraq.
‘Iran’s long running campaign of using proxy militias’ to force US military out of Syria – the US should not be in Syria and it is using proxy terrorist groups to force an internationally recognised Syrian government out of power while economically suffocating the Syrian people and sadistically depriving them of their essential resources.
The so-called Iranian “proxy-militias” would presumably include Iraqi Hash’d Al Shaabi and Hezbollah. Both groups have been instrumental in preventing ISIS expansion in Iraq and Syria while the US is known to have recruited, trained, equipped ISIS to destroy and destabilise both countries for the benefit of the US alliance of neocolonialists.
The article continues:
Officials with Iran’s elite Quds Force unit directed and oversaw testing of one of the explosives, which reportedly sliced through a tank’s armored plating in a trial run conducted in late January in Dumayr, east of Damascus, the Syrian capital, according to one of the intelligence reports. The document, part of the trove of classified materials leaked on the messaging platform Discord, appears to be based on intercepted communications by Syrian and Lebanese militants allied to Iran. One apparent attempt to use such devices against U.S. forces was apparently thwarted in late February when three bombs were seized by U.S.-allied Kurdish fighters in northeastern Syria, a second document states.
“There has been a sea change in their risk-acceptance in killing Americans in Syria,” said Michael Knights, an expert on Iranian-backed militia groups and a founder of the website Militia Spotlight. Noting the devastating toll exacted by EFP bombs during the Iraq War, he added: “This will definitely kill people. And they’re thinking very hard about how to do it.”
If Americans allow their military to be used to commit crimes in Syria, what do they expect? Americans will be killed eventually and rightfully so. There has been a Kurdish Contra/US-led blockade on information exiting the north-east to detail the US crimes against Syrian civilians but once the US grip on Syrian territory is loosened (and it will be) these crimes will start to be documented and recorded just as they were in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam – anywhere the US hegemon invaded, destroyed and pillaged. Back to WAPO:
Another document in the trove describes a new and broader effort by Moscow, Damascus and Tehran to oust the United States from Syria, a long-sought goal that could allow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to reclaim eastern provinces now controlled by U.S.-backed Kurdish forces.
Another document in the trove describes how Iran and allied militias were preparing to retaliate for Israeli strikes on their forces by hitting U.S. bases in Syria.
The leaked documents describe plans for a wide-ranging campaign by U.S. opponents that would involve stoking popular resistance and supporting a grass-roots movement to carry out attacks against Americans in eastern and northeastern Syria. High-ranking Russian, Iranian and Syrian military and intelligence officials met in November 2022 and agreed on establishing a “coordination center” for directing the campaign, according to a classified intelligence assessment prepared in January.
The article reiterates US claims that they are in Syria to ‘prevent a resurgence of ISIS’ but this is palpably untrue. There have been multiple local reports of the US storing ISIS fighters in the various prison camps dotted across the north-east – aided and abetted by the Kurdish Separatists who act as alleged prison guards for these camps. The Kurdish role in enabling ISIS break-outs is investigated here. The true role of the Kurds in Syria and their crimes are investigated here, here and here. An estimated 15000 ISIS terrorists and their families are being held in these makeshift camps, the biggest being the infamous Al Hol camp.
The danger of the ISIS card lies in the large numbers distributed among 9 prisons in the US-backed SDF-controlled areas, which are potential targets for similar attacks, especially the “Kamba Al-Bulgar” prison, east of Al-Shaddadi city in the southern countryside of Hasaka, which includes 5,000 ISIS militants.
In addition to Al-Sina’a prisons, Al-Shaddadiyah, Derek/ Al-Malikiyah, Al-Kasra, Al-Raqqa Central Prison, Rmelan and Nafker in the Qamishli city, from which 60 ISIS militants were transferred to a prison in Al-Hasakah last September – Ibrahim Mohammad Wahdi (Syrian researcher)
Since the double earthquake struck Syria on the 6th February there has been an increase in ISIS attacks, particularly on Syrian civilians to the east of Homs. There have been reports that the Pentagon is forming a rebranded military brigade that will comprise the so-called Free Syrian Army and ISIS fighters to carry out attacks on Syrian Arab Army and Russian positions.
The Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Sergey Naryshkin, has warned that the US occupation army is concocting a plan to sow chaos in quake-struck Syria by training and arming members of ISIS and other extremist groups.
“[The US army plans] to form several groups of radicals with a total number of about 300 people. After special training, they will be involved in attacks on military facilities in Syria and Iran,” Naryshkin said in an SVR statement released on 20 March.
ISIS is another proxy of the US alliance in Syria and this has been clear since John Kerry was recorded in a UN closed session describing how the Obama administration allowed ISIS to flourish in the hope it would topple the Syrian government in Damascus. The WAPO article then states:
The Pentagon has declined to comment on the leaked documents and did not respond to questions about the intelligence detailing the new plots against U.S. forces in Syria. But the move by Iranian-backed militias to escalate attacks against Americans with roadside bombs was confirmed in interviews with two current officials and one former official with access to sensitive intelligence from the region.
However one day after the WAPO article was published, the Times of Israel made the claim that the Israeli attacks on 28th May had targeted the Hezbollah Golan File training base in Dumayr to the north of Damascus – where the Iranian Quds Forces had allegedly run trials on the explosive devices in January according to WAPO. [Dumayr town is north of Damascus, Al Dumayr airfield is to the east – the WAPO article mentions the east.]
According to the Times of Israel:
Last week, it was reported that Golan File Hezbollah operatives were conducting military exercises at the Dumayr base in preparation for an attack on American troops in Syria. The report was first published by the Al-Hadath network and later confirmed by two US intelligence officials to the Long War Journal, a daily publication of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington-based think tank.
However the Syrian Ministry of Defence statement suggested that Israeli missiles had only succeeded in material damage to buildings ‘in the vicinity of Damascus’.
Of course the US is responding to the threat to its illegal military presence in Syria by doubling down on the economic pressure on Syrian civilians and fury at their Arab allies normalisation of relations with Syria ending in President Assad’s defiant speech at the recent Arab League Summit in Jeddah.

Sen. Rand Paul Blocking Biden Nominees Until COVID-19 Documents Released

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is seeking the release of U.S. government documents that may show links between risky U.S.-funded research projects and the origins of COVID-19.
Paul has been requesting these documents for years, following concerns that the SARS-CoV-2 virus could have been created through “gain of function” experiments.
“I’ve been trying to get COVID records for three years and my concern with the COVID Records is that the U.S. government funded a lot of research that was risky research called ‘gain of function’ research,” Paul told NTD News on Thursday. “Some of that research was funded in China, some of it’s been funded in our country. And I think that we need to find out about all of that research and it needs to come to the public, it needs to be reviewed.”
As part of his effort to compel the current administration to release any records relating to the origins of COVID-19, Paul is now vowing to block President Joe Biden’s nominees.
In a Thursday morning interview on Fox Business’s “Mornings with Maria,” Paul said the Biden administration has refused to turn over the records for going on three years.
“I’m in the process of blocking nominations, of blocking legislation, if they will not help me to get records. And so this is going on in two major committees that I’m on: the Foreign Relations Committee as well as the Homeland Security,” he said. “I’m telling you, I’m not letting anything pass unanimously, I’m blocking everything until you finally turn over some of these records on COVID.”
Signs of COVID-19 Lab Origin
In his comments with NTD News, Paul noted the spike protein of the SARS-CoV-2 virus had a rare feature, known as a furin cleavage site, which has been attributed to COVID-19’s high transmissibility in humans.
Paul also noted a 2018 research proposal, submitted to the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), proposing to insert a furin cleavage into a bat coronavirus. The Intercept first reported on this research proposal in September of 2021. The proposal was reportedly submitted by the EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S. organization with past ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in Wuhan, China, where the first COVID-19 cases were reported.
DARPA rejected the EcoHealth Alliance’s proposed experiment, but Paul questioned the coincidence of the proposal along with the fact that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is the first SARS-related betacoronaviruses to have this furin cleavage.
Some proponents of the theory that COVID-19 originated from a lab leak see the furin cleavage as evidence supporting the claim.
“When we got COVID-19, we discovered it’s the first coronavirus of its kind to have a furin cleavage site,” Paul said. “They were asking us for money to do [the furin cleavage experiment]. [The COVID-19 outbreak] happened in the same city blocks away from the same lab. Sounds like a lot of coincidences here. So we want a thorough investigation of all of the research that we’ve been funding.”
Some scientists have argued that the furin cleavage site seen on SARS-CoV-2 could have occurred naturally and its presence alone is not evidence of human experimentation.
US Research Dollars Flowed To China
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) published a report on Wednesday, with the support of auditors the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the Congressional Research Service, as well as two nonprofit Washington watchdogs, Open The Books (OTB) and the White Coat Waste Project (WCWP). Ernst’s report indicated Chinese organizations received $490 million in U.S. government research grants and contracts since 2017.
According to Ernst’s report, most of the funding that flowed to Chinese entities, including the WIV, came through subcontracts and subgrants. She said federal officials failed to rigorously track the sub-awards made by initial grant recipients.
Paul has alleged some of the Chinese entities that eventually received U.S. funding included Chinese military research organizations.
“One thing we discovered and has not been reported, I think, very extensively, is that [National Institutes of Health] money is going to American universities and then being subcontracted to military research in China,” he said, referring to China’s Academy of Military Medical Sciences (AMMS). “So it’s military research.”
Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee made similar claims in a December report (pdf). The Republican report stated, “public reporting has claimed grant money from [Department of Health and Human Services] components flowed to [AMMS].”

Did CDC Ignore Solid Data on Convulsions and Death After DTP Vaccines?
By
A massive study conducted 20 years ago showed febrile convulsions that in some cases led to death were more likely to occur with combined vaccine products, such as the DTP vaccine for diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis.
Is it possible since the release of older vaccines that the medical community and CDC ACIP panel ignored solid data and safety concerns with established vaccines?
I was participating in the Novel Coronavirus Southwestern Intergovernmental Committee deliberations in the Arizona Senate building when a paper published over 20 years ago was presented on the diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccines.
The results were astonishing.
Geier and Geier published a massive study and one of the first of its kind at the time using the CDC Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System.
The hypothesis was that febrile convulsions were more likely to occur with combined vaccine products that in some cases it would lead to death.
Here is what they did:
“The incidence rates calculated in this study are based on the estimates by the CDC of the number of doses administered during the study period: 121,954,137 doses of whole-cell DTP; 54,611,651 doses of acellular DTP (DTaP); and 9,335,142 doses of DT were administered.
“The background rate of development of convulsions by children is based on the estimates of the 1991 report by the Institute of Medicine of 0.2 per million children per day.”

They found more cases (occurrence/million) of febrile seizures and death after whole-cell DTP, DTaP, DT alone, in a descending, nonlinear graded fashion, and the risks were in a tight temporal relationship.
This is concerning because of the associations between post-vaccine febrile seizures and childhood/adult epilepsy requiring medications and with the development of neuropsychiatric conditions including autism.
In summary, no vaccine is perfectly safe. Combining multiple products into single shots increases the reactogenicity and the risk of a catastrophic outcome.
As parents and doctors begin to make more discerning choices they may consider going to less complex products, spreading them out, and giving them at later ages.
Alternatively, some parents and doctors may choose for a child to “go natural” or completely unvaccinated, which has the best overall outcomes in contemporary studies at this time.
Diphtheria and pertussis are easily treated with antibiotics, so prompt recognition and treatment if such a rare infection occurs is always an option for parents.
Tetanus is avoided with good wound care and antibiotics for deep tissue lacerations and puncture wounds.

Even at ‘Safe’ Levels, Roundup Disrupts Gut/Immune Function, New Study Suggests
By
Investigators at the University of Iowa found that at levels approximating the U.S. Acceptable Daily Intake — 1.75 milligrams per kilogram of body weight per day — glyphosate altered the gut microbiome composition and induced “a pro-inflammatory environment.”
Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Monsanto’s (owned by Bayer) widely used line of broad-spectrum herbicides.
Consisting of trillions of benign, ever-resident microorganisms (bacteria, yeast, fungi, and even viruses), the gut microbiome helps animals digest food, fight infections, produce vitamin K and other important biomolecules, and metabolize medicines.
Intestinal microbes, especially certain bacterial species, may also benefit the immune system and heart health while reducing cancer risk and positively affecting healthy aging and longevity. The term “microbiome” refers to these organisms and also to their collective genomes.
Investigators at the University of Iowa found that at levels approximating the U.S. Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) — 1.75 milligrams per kilogram of body weight per day — glyphosate altered the gut microbiome composition and induced “a pro-inflammatory environment.”
They determined this by measuring the loss of beneficial Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium bacterial species, and the simultaneous blocking of microbial gene pathways that produce anti-inflammatory short-chain fatty acids.
Changes in gut microbe populations were also accompanied by higher levels of pro-inflammatory markers such as Lipocalin-2 and CD4/IL17A-positive immune system cells, and an increase in fecal pH.
Lipocalin-2 is a biomarker for various forms of kidney diseases, heart failure and obesity-related illnesses. The IL-17 family of cytokines promotes protective immunity against many pathogens but also, paradoxically, drives inflammatory pathology during infection and autoimmunity.
According to the authors of the study, published in the June issue of Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology, a rising fecal pH inhibits the normal production of anti-inflammatory short-chain fatty acids.
[…]
The state of the microbiome is increasingly viewed as a surrogate marker for an organism’s overall health.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, symptoms of gut microbiome dysregulation include constipation, diarrhea, bloating, fatigue and acid reflux associated with such health conditions as diabetes, obesity, inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome.
First study to link dosage to glyphosate’s effect on gut microbiome
As is often the case with broad-spectrum poisons, glyphosate may affect human health through a variety of mechanisms — few, if any of which have been studied rigorously.
One possible mechanism is disruption of the gut microbiome, which is known to be harmful.
The Iowa study is the first to link dosage, in a systematic way, to glyphosate’s effect on the gut microbiome.
Researchers used C57BL/6J mice, a strain normally selected for studying age-related hearing loss. The animals were reared according to protocol on irradiated feed and moved from one cage to another before testing to normalize each animal’s gut microflora.
The mice were then exposed to three different concentration levels of glyphosate in their drinking water: 1, 10 and 100 micrograms of glyphosate per milliliter of water. The middle dosing scheme, 10 micrograms per milliliter, corresponded to the U.S. adult ADI of 1.75 mg/kg/day (assuming water intake of 4 milliliters per day).
During the 90-day study, researchers collected feces on days 30, 60 and 90, which they froze for future analysis. Similarly, they collected blood on days 30 and 60.
On day 90, investigators dispatched the mice and collected colon tissue for examination of the lamina propria, a rich source of both somatic and immune system cells.
Investigators found glyphosate exposure at doses approximating the U.S. ADI altered the populations of microorganisms normally inhabiting the gut and affected the animals’ neuro-immune-endocrine system toward a pro-inflammatory state.
Even at ADI levels, glyphosate exposure adversely affects the animals’ “gut homeostasis” and physiology, the authors said.
This study begs questions about the test animals’ susceptibility to microbiome dysregulation as a result of rearing, diet, genes or a combination of those factors.
The study’s lead author, Ashutosh K. Mangalam, Ph.D., associate professor and director of the Microbiome Core research facility at the University of Iowa, declined to answer The Defender’s questions on these issues.
Study’s methodology raises questions
It’s been known since at least 2012 that glyphosate interacts with the gut microbiome based on observations of species ranging from honeybees to carp.
Similarly, the herbicide has been known to interfere with immune function for at least a decade.
While all this is established science, demonstrated time and again across species and habitats, it does not in itself mean that glyphosate at the human ADI is harmful to humans.
One should also be wary of extrapolating too readily from what are essentially animal biomarker studies to human health outcomes.
The “further research” called for by the study authors should therefore include validation of their mouse model, followed by challenges to affected animals to study how specific health outcomes correlate to the microbiome alterations under study.
For example, mice could be exposed to pathogens or antigens after microflora alterations to observe inflammatory responses or their ability to fight infectious diseases.
Because of potentially interconnected causation, one of the controls for such an experiment should be animals whose gut bacteria were similarly affected, but by means of a different agent.
In other words, are animals getting sick because of those specific immune cell- or fatty acid-related malfunctions? Or is glyphosate adversely affecting the animal’s health through a different mechanism in addition to its effects on the microbiota?
How big is the glyphosate problem?
The ever-rising year-over-year use of glyphosate in the U.S. goes back decades, despite unrelenting medical and scientific scrutiny.
First approved in 1974, glyphosate is still widely applied in agricultural, government and consumer settings — despite being linked to dozens of serious health issues and, as of 2022, being the target of at least 125,000 lawsuits.
The use of glyphosate-based herbicides jumped tenfold with the introduction of genetically modified “Roundup-resistant” crops. It is the most-used herbicide in U.S. agriculture, with an estimated 287 million pounds applied to fields and crops in 2016.
Despite a barrage of evidence that glyphosate causes harm and huge settlements in favor of plaintiffs, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) historically has granted the chemical and its manufacturer the benefit of the doubt.
Every 15 years, the EPA reviews key aspects of an herbicide’s (“pesticide” in EPA terminology) registration.
In 2020, in response to public comments questioning the chemical’s safety in animals and the environment, the agency reaffirmed its long-held position that the herbicide does not cause human cancer and that there are “no risks of concern to human health from current uses of glyphosate” either to “children or adults” when the product is “used according to label directions.”
Additionally, the agency saw:
- No indication children are more sensitive to glyphosate from “in-utero or post-natal exposure” and there were “no risks of concern from ingesting food with glyphosate residues” or to “children entering or playing on residential areas treated with glyphosate.
- No evidence glyphosate causes human cancers in humans. On this point, the EPA disagrees with the International Agency for Research on Cancer, which in 2015, designated glyphosate a “probably carcinogenic to humans.”
- No indication glyphosate is an endocrine disruptor by virtue of having passed Tier I screening under its Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program.
Similarly and predictably, the National Pesticide Information Center, an EPA-associated group at Oregon State University, denies any connection between glyphosate and human illness:
“Pure glyphosate is low in toxicity, but products usually contain other ingredients that help the glyphosate get into the plants. The other ingredients in the product can make the product more toxic.”
In other words, glyphosate is only toxic if it gets inside plants, which provides little comfort considering its concentrati ons in human tissues. With either glyphosate or its metabolite present in the urine of 81% of Americans over the age of 6 and in samples from 75% of pregnant Canadian women, the chemical is already inside almost all of us.

If You Want to help Free Assange You Need to Recognize the Importance of the Durham Report

It is interesting that in light of the recent release of the Durham report, there has been little evident commotion coming from the activists who wish to “Free Assange” and I think that speaks volumes about a bigger problem than even the illegal imprisonment of Julian Assange. This problem is tied to the inability to address a system that has entirely broken down and is no longer in the service of protecting the security of the American people, let alone the western world more broadly.
In fact, it is rather a bizarre phenomenon that there has been a complete disconnect between the witch-hunt against Julian Assange which is clearly connected to the 2016 US election outcome and the witch-hunt against Donald Trump who was that outcome.
Hillary Clinton ran with this narrative repeatedly during the actual 2016 presidential campaign, calling Julian Assange an agent of the Kremlin who was working to get Trump elected, while ignoring the fact that the embarrassing revelations leaked from her private emails and DNC hard drives were the product of a DNC insider (likely the murdered Seth Rich), and not a foreign hack as both Hillary and the FBI claimed.
[…]
In another presidential debate (see 0:48 in video clip) Clinton remarked to the moderator “You are very clearly quoting from WikiLeaks and what is really important about WikiLeaks is that the Russian government has engaged in espionage against Americans. They have hacked American websites, American accounts, of private people, of institutions, then they have given that information to WikiLeaks for the purpose of putting it on the internet. This has come from the highest levels of the Russian government, clearly from Putin himself, in an effort, as 17 of our intelligence agencies have confirmed, to influence our election. So I actually think that the most important question of this evening Chris, is finally will Donald Trump admit and condemn that the Russians are doing this and make it clear that he will not have the help of Putin in this election, that he rejects Russian espionage against Americans, which he actually encouraged in the past. Those are the questions we need answered.”
Just to be clear, none of this to this day has ever been substantiated including by the Mueller report which had to acknowledge that they had no evidence, despite going through Trump’s tax returns, that the Trump presidential campaign had any funding or that it colluded with the Russian government.
Despite this lack of any evidence, the FBI refused to exonerate him and have instead blatantly continued an investigation for the same allegations after over six years of finding nothing (Mar-a-Lago is the most recent dubious FBI raid on Trump in August 2022 which is continuing to justify itself under the Espionage Act despite absolutely no basis).
The Mueller report also failed to provide evidence that WikiLeaks had any direct connection or funding from the Russian government, though this was another goal of their investigation. The Mueller report stated that the Special Counsel’s office considered charging WikiLeaks or Assange “as conspirators in the computer-intrusion conspiracy and that there were “factual uncertainties” about the role that Assange may have played in the hacks or their distribution that were “the subject of ongoing investigations” by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Thus, the over $25 million dollar Mueller investigation also failed to implicate WikiLeaks in the Russia Gate conspiracy and yet also refused to exonerate Julian Assange.
The Mueller report also failed to provide evidence that the Russian government, or as Hillary made the point repeatedly, Putin, shaped the outcome of the 2016 US elections. Yet, this continues to be alleged.
Thus, we have three entities being accused of election interference: Trump, Assange, and the Russian government (Putin more specifically) and none of these have been substantiated (Mueller’s report on fake Russian social media accounts and fake hashtags does not cut it, for the details of the Mueller report refer here.).
[…]
We are left with the very agencies and individuals that have been launching these accusations as the real source of election interference and threats to national security.
Why were the constant FBI investigations into Trump during his presidential campaign and actual presidency not considered an unlawful interference with the 2016 US elections and presidency? Why are the never-ending court cases against Trump, the newest announced to take place just three weeks after Super Tuesday, one of the most important days on the Republican presidential primary calendar leading up to the 2024 elections not considered unlawful interference with the 2024 US elections?
It is thus an internal problem, not a foreign infiltration problem.
[…]
Assange has clearly been a destabilizing force to the structural integrity of the Five Eyes apparatus by simply exposing it for what it was, as did NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.
Yes, Assange did influence the outcome of the 2016 US elections LEGALLY by informing Americans about the skeletons in Hillary’s closet (or more accurately described as catacomb). This would never have come to light without Assange since Hillary had actually destroyed or removed federal records while under investigation on numerous occasions and was receiving a certain degree of state protection as well which is seen by the mere fact that she was never held accountable for destroying these files, which is a federal crime, even though it is acknowledged that she was in fact guilty of this.
The reason why WikiLeaks had leaked so much damning material on Hillary and not on Trump is very simple, and has nothing to do with Assange working for Trump or Russia or any other bias. It was because Trump did not have anything criminal to expose to the American public to begin with.

In 2012, Julian Assange was granted asylum by Ecuador who feared his human rights might be violated if he were extradited to Sweden to face allegations of rape and molestation which were made in August 2010.
[…]
In May 2017, Sweden dropped the rape investigation. At this point there does not appear to be any reason why Assange could not walk away as a free man, however, the UK government continued to push for his detainment.
A new President of Ecuador is elected on May 24, 2017, Lenin Moreno.
[…]
In December 2018, Moreno demands that Assange leave the Ecuadorean embassy.
In April 2019, UK police enter the embassy and detain Assange for “failing to surrender to the court” over a warrant issued in 2012. This warrant should no longer have been valid since it applied to Sweden’s investigation at the time that was dropped by 2017.
Clearly to accommodate this enforcing of an expired warrant, Sweden decides to reopen the sexual assault case against Assange, one month later, in May 2019.
That same month, Assange is sentenced to 50 weeks in the Belmarsh prison in London for breaching his bail conditions.
In November 2019, Sweden again drops the investigation into Assange for sexual assault, yet, Assange was to remain in prison for something that he would ultimately never even face trial for, and has remained incarcerated in the Belmarsh prison four years later.
[…]
On 13 September 2019, District Judge Vanessa Baraitser ruled that Assange would not be released on 22 September when his prison term ended because he was a flight risk amidst an extradition request. She said when his sentence came to an end, his status would change from a serving prisoner to a person facing extradition. It should be noted that under normal circumstances, a charged individual may be imprisoned for up to 30 DAYS AWAITING EXTRADITION if they are considered a flight risk, it has been THREE YEARS+ in the case of Assange.
[…]
On 4 January 2021, Judge Baraitser ruled that Assange could not be extradited to the United States, citing concerns about his mental health and the risk of suicide in a US prison. However, she also sided with the US on every other point, including whether the charges constituted political offences and whether Assange was entitled to freedom of speech protections.
[…]
In August 2021, Lord Justice Holroyde in High Court granted permission for the contested risk of suicide to be raised on the appeal. In December 2021, the Hight Court ruled in favour of the United States.
[…]
The case was remitted to Westminster Magistrates’ Court with the direction that it be sent to the Home Secretary Priti Patel for the final decision on whether to extradite Assange. On 24 January 2022 Assange was granted permission to petition the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom for an appeal hearing, but in March the court refused to allow the appeal, saying that Assange had not raised an arguable point of law.
On 20 April 2022, Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring of the Westminster Magistrates Court formally approved the extradition of Assange to the US and referred the decision to the Home Secretary Priti Patel. On 17 June 2022, Patel approved the extradition.
On 1 July 2022, Assange lodged an appeal against the extradition in the High Court. On 22 August 2022, Assange’s legal team lodged a Perfected Grounds of Appeal before the High Court challenging District Judge Vanessa Baraitser’s decision of 4 January 2021 with new evidence. Assange also made a further appeal to the European Court of Human Rights, but on 13 December 2022, this appeal was declared inadmissible. (Source on details of Assange’s court proceedings from Wikipedia.)
Assange faces 18 charges over WikiLeaks’ publication of classified documents, largely the result of a leak by the former US army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning.
[…]
Thus, Assange, whom the Mueller investigation failed to implicate in Russia Gate, was instead to be charged under the Espionage Act due to publishing material Manning sent to WikiLeaks on classified or sensitive military information concerning…the merits of the War on Terror.

The Relevance of the Durham Report
The Durham report is a special counsel investigation that began in 2019 when the US Justice Department designated federal prosecutor John Durham to review the origins of the FBI investigations into the validity of 2016 US elections and more specifically the Trump campaign.
Durham was given authority to examine the government’s collection of intelligence, government documents and to request voluntary witness statements.
[…]
Durham also noted that the Steele dossier, the provoking act for the investigation, was deeply flawed and that the FBI was unable to corroborate “a single substantive allegation.” He added that the agency went through with the investigation despite “a complete lack of information from the Intelligence Community that corroborated the hypothesis upon which the… investigation was predicated.”
