Columbia Student Seized from Private Residence with No Warrant from Wife who is a US Citizen and 8 Months Pregnant

by Brian Shilhavy
Editor, Health Impact News

Yesterday, it was reported that ICE agents forced their way into the private residence of a graduate student from Columbia University, who is a permanent resident of the United States with a Green Card, and took him away from his wife, who is a U.S. Citizen and is 8 months pregnant.

According to reports, she too was threatened with arrest from ICE agents, even though she is a U.S. Citizen.

The man’s name is Mahmoud Khalil, and he was a prominent leader of the pro-Palestinian protests last year at Columbia University.

Khalil phoned his attorney, Amy E. Greer of Dratel & Lewis, when ICE arrived, and she later gave a report to the media about his arrest.

“Last night ICE agents wrongfully arrested Mahmoud Khalil, claiming his student visa was revoked – even though Mahmoud is legal permanent resident (green card) and not in the U.S. on a student visa,” Greer said.

“Confronted with that fact, the ICE agents detained him anyway.”

Greer said the firm filed a habeas corpus petition overnight on “Mahmoud’s behalf challenging the validity of his arrest and detention.”

“Currently, we do not know Mahmoud’s precise whereabouts. Initially, we were informed this morning that he had been transferred to an ICE facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey,” Greer added.

“However, when his wife – a U.S. citizen who is eight months’ pregnant and was threatened with arrest as well by the ICE agents last night – tried to visit him there today, she was told he is not detained there.”

Greer added that the firm has received reports that Khalil may be transferred as far away as Louisiana.

“We will vigorously be pursuing Mahmoud’s rights in court, and will continue our efforts to right this terrible and inexcusable – and calculated – wrong committed against him,” Greer said. (Source.)

Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that they detained Khalil, and accused him of being a “Hamas supporter.”

Mahmoud Khalil is a Syrian national. If they deport him back to Syria, he will be going to a country that is now in total chaos, where thousands of innocent civilians have been slaughtered in the past few days.

And how ironic that just last week, it was published in the media that the U.S. and Israel are actually the ones supporting Hamas, and that the Trump Administration is currently holding direct talks with Hamas themselves.

Osama Bin Laden’s Staged Death Exposed: Hackers Leak Emails Revealing Obama-CIA-Pakistan Conspiracy

In a digital heist straight out of a spy thriller, a rogue hacker crew infiltrated Pakistan’s government servers, unleashing a bombshell: leaked emails that expose a jaw-dropping conspiracy between the Obama administration, CIA and Pakistani brass to stage Osama bin Laden’s death as a grand geopolitical charade.

In February 2023, an Indian hacker group known as Sidewinder breached Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry server, extracting a staggering 7.5 terabytes of data, including emails, chats, and documents.

While only a small fraction of this data—approximately 2 gigabytes, containing 10,000 to 12,000 emails—was released publicly on a Telegram channel linked to an individual claiming ties to Sidewinder, the leak has sparked intense speculation.

Among the files hacked by Sidewinder was a bombshell email from a government source that has seemingly confirmed a remarkable conspiracy theory: the claim that Osama bin Laden’s death in 2011 was staged by substituting a duplicate in his place.

The email in question, dated December 23, 2021, was sent from an address tied to sco.gov.pk, a domain associated with the Special Communications Organization (SCO), an entity controlled by the Pakistani military at the time.

The email’s contents primarily focus on internal Pakistani political dynamics, including threats to overthrow then-Prime Minister Imran Khan for his perceived allegiance to India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and his handling of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a domestic terrorist group.

Notably, it references Khan’s decision to release an Indian pilot, Abhinandan Varthaman, captured in 2019—an act the email’s author deems a sign of Khan’s subservience to India.

However, the email takes a dramatic turn when it pivots to a discussion of high-profile terrorist figures. It explicitly states that the death of “Aeman al-zeware” (likely a misspelling of Ayman al-Zawahiri, a key al-Qaeda leader and Osama bin Laden’s close associate) would be faked, just as bin Laden’s death allegedly was.

According to the email, bin Laden’s demise in the 2011 U.S. raid in Abbottabad was a ruse, with a duplicate planted to deceive the world.

Intriguingly, seven months after this email was sent, on July 31, 2022, the CIA announced al-Zawahiri’s death in a drone strike in Afghanistan—raising questions about whether his demise, too, might have been staged as the email predicted.

The email’s author also hints at their own significance, suggesting that if captured by Indian forces, they would be freed through “another Kandahar operation.” This is a reference to the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight IC 814 by Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, who forced the Indian government to release imprisoned terrorists by landing the plane in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

This allusion implies the writer could be a high-value operative or terrorist with powerful allies, adding a layer of intrigue to the document’s claims.

The email’s broader context syncs eerily with real-world events, adding credibility to its claims. For instance, Imran Khan was indeed ousted as Pakistan’s prime minister via a no-confidence vote on April 10, 2022, just months after the email’s date, marking a historic first in the country’s political history. He was later arrested on May 9, 2023, by paramilitary forces, as the email’s warnings about his fate partially foreshadowed.

Yet the claim about bin Laden’s faked death remains the most explosive revelation, echoing long-standing conspiracy theories that have questioned the official narrative of the Abbottabad raid.

Skeptics might argue that the email’s sensational claims lack corroboration. Only 2 gigabytes of the 7.5-terabyte breach have been made public, and the individual analyzing the leak—who manually sifted through the files—has not released the full dataset.

Efforts to obtain the complete breach from the Telegram channel admin were rebuffed, with the admin claiming Sidewinder is state-sponsored by India and that the full data would only be shared with the Indian government.

The hacker confirmed the Sidewinder hacker group is state-sponsored by the Indian government and he will only give the whole data breach to the Indian government

Still, the leak has ignited debate. If genuine, the email suggests a coordinated effort within Pakistan’s military establishment to manipulate perceptions of major terrorist figures’ fates, potentially for political or strategic gain.

Osama bin Laden’s death, announced by the U.S. on May 2, 2011, was a defining moment of the Obama administration, yet conspiracy theories have persisted—fueled by the lack of public photos of his body and the rapid burial at sea.

As of now, the Sidewinder breach and its revelations remain a tantalizing puzzle. The analyst, leveraging open-source intelligence (OSINT) skills, claims to have identified the email’s sender but has withheld that information for privacy reasons.

Without access to the full 7.5-terabyte dataset or further leaks, the theory that bin Laden’s death was faked hinges on this single, provocative email—a detail in a much larger intrigue.

Osama Bin Laden’s Staged Death Exposed: Hackers Leak Emails Revealing Obama-CIA-Pakistan Conspiracy

The COVID-Era Smearing – and Resurrection – of Trump NIH Appointee Dr. Jay Bhattacharya

By Paul D. Thacker

Jay Bhattacharya was in pretty terrible shape five years ago. He was losing sleep and weight, not because of the COVID-19 virus but in response to the efforts of his colleagues at Stanford University and the larger medical community to shut down his research, which questioned much of the government’s response to the pandemic.

Some of his Stanford colleagues leaked false and damaging information to reporters. The university’s head of medicine ordered him to stop speaking to the press. Top leaders at the National Institutes of Health, Anthony Fauci and Francis Collins, dialed up the attacks, dismissing him and his colleagues as what Collins termed “fringe epidemiologists” while their acolytes threw mud from a slew of publications, including the Washington Post, The Nation, and the prestigious medical journal BMJ.

In the years since, many of Bhattacharya’s scientific concerns about the efficacy of lockdowns and mask mandates have been corroborated. Fauci, meanwhile, accepted a pardon from President Biden, protecting him from COVID-related offenses dating back to 2014, the year he started funding research at a Wuhan, China, lab that U.S. intelligence agencies now believe probably started the pandemic. And this week, Bhattacharya looks set to achieve surprising vindication as the Senate holds a hearing on his nomination to head the NIH, in a Department of Health and Human Services run by science nonconformist Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Bhattacharya’s path from health policy scholar to NIH director nominee is pockmarked with craters from missiles launched to destroy his scientific credibility by NIH leaders and their minions in academia. Even as he seeks to advance medical research, Bhattacharya’s personal experience will likely inform his pledge to clean up the NIH and clear the agency of some career civil servants who silenced dissenting scientific voices during the pandemic and created national policies that were not always supported by the public.

“Free speech is fundamental for science to function properly,” he notes simply.

Bhattacharya first caught the attention of the nation’s scientific bureaucracy in April 2020 when he reported that the COVID virus was not as dangerous but more widespread than many of his colleagues and government officials were maintaining. This suggested a policy focusing on the most vulnerable populations with fewer restrictions on younger, healthier Americans. The study was discussed at the highest levels of the government and was passed around by Fauci and others in the White House, according to emails made public by a Freedom of Information Act request.

“For anyone with an open mind, the study’s results implied that the lockdown-focused strategy of March 2020 had failed to suppress the spread of the disease,” Bhattacharya wrote in a 2023 essay. But the paper’s other obvious conclusion put Bhattacharya in the crosshairs of Stanford faculty: It suggested that fear-mongering about the fatality rate of the virus was irresponsible.

Bhattacharya’s contrary conclusions generated complaints that the research was unsound, and Stanford put together an ad hoc group to investigate. It directed him to change the study protocols, which would have shut down the research. “They also demanded to review and approve any manuscripts we would write,” Bhattacharya said. But he eventually ignored them and kept publishing.

In April 2020, a series of damaging articles by Buzzfeed reporter Stephanie M. Lee carried allegations that Bhattacharya and his colleagues failed to disclose funding for their study, even though they had actually already disclosed it to Stanford. Buzzfeed is the now-defunct news site that first published the now much-maligned Steele dossier.

Bhattacharya was confused by the articles when they appeared. He later concluded from the intimate details that Stanford faculty were leaking the information to the reporter to harm him, including a false allegation that a “whistleblower” had come forward.

Responding to the Buzzfeed flurry of reports, Stanford announced a fact-finding investigation of Bhattacharya’s research, which he began calling an “inquisition.” The administration later informed him there was no “whistleblower” as Buzzfeed had falsely reported, and they sent a confidential report that found him and his colleagues at no fault.

“I got a letter which basically says we did nothing wrong. But also a condition that I’m not allowed to release the letter,” Bhattacharya explained in a 2023 interview. “This was a low period in my life. I was getting death threats, racist attacks, because the press was attacking me.”

Bhattacharya also suspects that some of the attacks at the time were being generated by Stanford’s major funders in the federal government – the NIH’s Francis Collins and Anthony Fauci. Collins and Fauci orchestrated a campaign against Bhattacharya in earnest in October 2020. Collins resigned from his NIH position last Friday and did not respond to questions sent to him through the NIH communications office nor sent to his NIH contact. Fauci did not respond to questions sent to him through his attorney.

That month, Bhattacharya and professors Martin Kulldorff, then at Harvard, and Sunetra Gupta of Oxford released the “Great Barrington Declaration,” which called for rejecting harmful COVID lockdowns in favor of “focused protection” for society’s most vulnerable, such as the elderly. With the declaration building support, Collins, four days later, on Oct. 8, 2020, sent Fauci an email with the subject line “Great Barrington Declaration.”

“This proposal from the three fringe epidemiologists who met with the [Health] Secretary seems to be getting a lot of attention – and even a co-signature from Nobel Prize winner Mike Leavitt at Stanford,” Collins wrote. “There needs to be a quick and devastating published take down of its premises. I don’t see anything like that on line yet – is it underway?”

Some hours later, Fauci forwarded Collins a “refutation” of the Great Barrington Declaration written for The Nation by his friend and advocate Gregg Gonsalves, an AIDS activist who is now a professor at Yale. Fauci rose to prominence in the 1980s as an HIV/AIDS researcher. “Indeed, and well said,” replied Collins. The Gonsalves essay referenced no actual science but denigrated Bhattacharya, Gupta, and Kulldorff for ignoring what he called “progressive principles of justice and equality” in favor of “survival of the fittest.”

Fauci has praised Gonsalves several times over the years and, in his recent memoir, singles out Gonsalves and a handful of other activists “for their unflinching support over the past few years.”

Four days after Fauci forwarded Collins the Gonsalves essay in The Nation, Collins dismissed the Declaration in public comments as “fringe” politics. “This is not mainstream science,” Collins argued in a public statement. Gonsalves contacted Collins later that same day, emailing him another essay he had written, again vilifying the Great Barrington Declaration, this time in the Washington Post.

“Saw your comments on the ludicrous Great Barrington Declaration and wanted to thank you for speaking out and doing it ‘undiplomatically,’” Gonsalves emailed Collins. “After we saw what you had said about ‘fringe’ epidemiology, we wondered why we were so nice in our op-ed.”

Collins then forwarded Gonsalves’ email to Fauci, who responded with a smiley face emoji.

Several months later, Gonsalves was among those who hosted a surprise birthday greeting for Fauci. “We did it!” tweeted HIV activist Peter Staley. “A small gang of Tony Fauci’s HIV/AIDS comrades managed to surprise him yesterday with an 80th birthday Zoom.” A screenshot of the Zoom shows Gregg Gonsalves beaming into his camera.

Fauci and Collins’ effort to create a “quick and devastating” takedown of the Great Barrington Declaration remained secret until the emails between them and Gonsalves became public in late December 2021. In response, Gonsalves dashed off a Christmas note to Collins and Fauci thanking them for their service and alerting them to their now-public emails “that some on the right have been circulating as ‘proof’ of a conspiracy against the Great Barrington Declaration.”

“It’s interesting that an effort to call out genuinely dangerous recommendations from the GBD is called a conspiracy,” Collins emailed back to Gonsalves. “Truth itself seems to have become a conspiracy in many minds.”

“It’s been a privilege to have you as our leader at the NIH!” Gonsalves replied.

Gonsalves remained a dogged Fauci supporter throughout the pandemic, even attacking former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield when he went public in 2023 that he believed Fauci’s funding for gain-of-function virus research in the Wuhan lab may have led to the pandemic. “Robert Redfield, Trump’s CDC Director, has been trashing former NIAID director, Anthony Fauci,” Gonsalves tweeted in March 2023. “Anyone who knows Bob Redfield knows what an unsavory character he is.”

Working in concert with Gonsalves, two other academics were especially active in criticizing Bhattacharya’s COVID work: David Gorski, a Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University, and Gavin Yamey, Director of the Center for Policy Impact in Global Health at Duke University.

“They specifically targeted the scientific community to undermine Jay,” said a Trump transition team member, who is not allowed to speak to the press while shuffling Bhattacharya around the Senate. “There’s a market for hot pieces to attack Bhattacharya, and these academics coordinate on social media, repeating and amplifying the same narrative to dirty him up.”

Gorski is a self-described “misinformation debunker” and runs a website called Science Based Medicine. It doesn’t always get its facts straight. After the European Medicines Agency concluded in April 2021, for example, that unusual blood clots should be listed as a very rare side effect for AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine, Gorski decried the decision on his X account claiming, “Reported blood clots appear to be no higher than background and very likely unrelated to the vaccine.” The UK government eventually stopped offering AstraZeneca’s jab, and the company finally admitted that its COVID vaccine causes harm in what The Telegraph reported could result in millions of dollars in legal claims.

“Gorski is damaging to science,” said Bhattacharya. “He creates an environment where researchers can’t speak their mind if they cross the biopharmaceutical industry.” Bhattacharya described Yamey and Gorski as part of a network that carried out Collins’ devastating takedown. “I’ll never publish in a big mainstream journal,” he said a couple of years ago in an interview.

“Those of us in academic medicine, all we have is our reputation,” former CDC Director Robert Redfield told RealClearInvestigations. “These attacks, it impacts you substantially. You can’t function. You don’t get invited to talks, and groups won’t have anything to do with you.”

In late 2021, Gorski partnered with Yamey on a piece for the BMJ falsely charging that Bhattacharya and other Great Barrington Declaration signers were supported by billionaires “aligned with industry.” Bhattacharya and the other signatories met at a conference hosted by the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER), which, Yamey and Gorski argued, “has also received funding from the Charles Koch Foundation, which was founded and is chaired by the right-wing billionaire industrialist known for promoting climate change denial and opposing regulations on business.”

While Gorski and Yamey provided no evidence that Koch money funded the GBD signatories, the BMJ still published their piece. Association with a nonprofit that has distant links to Koch money was apparently enough to carry the whiff of dark money corruption, a charge that still circulates on social media to this day.

“The BMJ article is full of errors that ought to have never found their way into any publication,” wrote Martin Kulldorff in The Spectator. “While the AIER has received only a single $68K (£50,000) Koch donation a few years ago, many universities have received multiple, much larger Koch donations, including million dollar gifts to Duke, Harvard, Johns Hopkins and Stanford.”

Contacted by RealClearInvestigations, Gorski did not respond when asked why he had not corrected his allegations against Bhattacharya.

It was later revealed that Bhattacharya’s attackers had even more conflicts. In March 2022, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) released a trove of documents revealing Yamey’s ties to EcoHealth Alliance, a Fauci-funded organization run by Peter Daszak, which subcontracted with the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. USAID scientist Dennis Carroll ran a pandemic preparedness program called PREDICT and worked with several researchers, including Daszak and Yamey, documents show, to redirect federal funds from the PREDICT program to set up a nonprofit called the Global Virome Project.

Disney Facing Collapse: Hundreds of Staff FIRED as Viewership Plummets to Record Low

Disney facing collapse are viewers turn off in droves.

Sean Adl-Tabatabai

Disney has terminated hundreds of employees amid record-low viewership and shrinking profits, reports indicate.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the layoffs will consolidate several ABC News programs, including the merger of “20/20” and “Nightline” into a single unit.

Naturalnews.com reports: At Disney Entertainment Networks, which includes Freeform and FX, staffing reductions will hit program planning and scheduling. These cuts are part of a broader trend at Disney, which has been hemorrhaging money in its traditional cable and broadcast businesses as consumers abandon cable packages and advertisers flock to streaming services and digital platforms.

The timing of these layoffs is particularly telling. They come just over a week after MSNBC fired race-baiting propagandist Joy Reid, whose ratings collapsed following President Trump’s re-election in November 2024.

The decline of Disney’s news and entertainment divisions is not happening in a vacuum. Millions of Americans have turned away from legacy media outlets, opting instead for alternative platforms like X (formerly Twitter), long-form podcasts and independent news sources. Figures like Joe Rogan have become trusted voices, offering unfiltered commentary and challenging the narratives pushed by corporate media.

This shift reflects a growing distrust of mainstream outlets, which have repeatedly misled the public on critical issues. From the Hunter Biden laptop scandal to the origins of COVID-19 and the state of the economy, legacy media has lost credibility. As one conservative commentator put it, “The left’s propaganda machine has finally been exposed for what it is: a tool to manipulate, not inform.”

The Trump administration’s executive order banning government censorship has further empowered this new era of free thought. With the shackles of cancel culture loosened, Americans are embracing diverse perspectives and rejecting the monolithic narratives of the past.

Historical context: The rise and fall of wokeness

To understand the significance of Disney’s layoffs, it’s important to revisit the rise of DEI and woke ideology in corporate America. Over the past decade, companies like Disney embraced progressive causes, often at the expense of their core business. DEI initiatives, once seen as a way to promote fairness, morphed into a rigid orthodoxy that prioritized ideology over merit and alienated large segments of the population.

This approach reached its peak during the Trump presidency, as corporations and media outlets doubled down on their opposition to conservative values. However, the backlash was swift and severe. Audiences began to reject the constant drumbeat of identity politics, and companies that prioritized virtue signaling over quality content paid the price.

Disney’s current struggles are a direct result of this miscalculation. By alienating half the country with its woke messaging, the company has lost its cultural relevance. As one industry insider noted, “Disney forgot that its job is to entertain, not to preach.”

A new era of free thought

The layoffs at Disney are more than just a cost-cutting measure—they are a sign of the times. The Overton Window has shifted, and the era of woke dominance is over. Americans are embracing a new era of free thought, driven by alternative media and a rejection of corporate propaganda.

Meet Mark Carney – Canada’s Next (Unelected) Prime Minister

By Kit Knightly

Regular readers are no doubt familiar with Carney, he’s had quite a few high-profile jobs over the years. As a quick reminder, let’s run down the highlights of his CV:

  • 1990-2003: Goldman Sachs (various)
  • 2003-2007: Department of Finance, Canada (senior associate deputy minister)
  • 2007-2013: Central Bank of Canada (Chairman)
  • 2010-2012: Bank of International Settlements Committee on the Global Financial System (Chairman)
  • 2013-2020: Bank of England (Governor)
  • 2020-2024: Brookefield Asset Management (Vice-Chairman)
  • 2020-2025: UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance
  • 2025-????: Prime Minister of Canada…apparently

My, there are a lot of banks on that list, aren’t there? Not to mention his special appointments at Chatham House and the World Economic Forum or his regular appearances at Bilderberg. However, the eagle-eyed may note the absence of previous elected offices.

In fact, not only has he never won any elected office at any level of government, he’s never even run before. He will be the first Canadian Prime Minister to have never held a seat in the House of Commons.

Now, we could talk policy here. We could ask ourselves, “what is Carney in favour of?” or “how are things about to change?” but that would waste my time and yours. Look at his résumé. Bilderberg, UN Climate Envoy, Goldman Sachs…we know what his policies will be. The same as everyone else’s.

The only meaningful change he can offer is the further degradation of our supposedly “democratic” system.

The Liberal Party’s leadership “election” is the entire extent of his political career, and (supposing it wasn’t fixed) he won that running against a single opponent with a 37% turnout of one political party. 100,000 people. One-quarter of one percent of the population of Canada.

Three days ago we published a piece on the state of “democracy” in Romania, calling it “the first post-election democracy”. It looks like Canada is pushing hard for that silver medal.

The Toxic Legacy of NATO’s Depleted Uranium Weapons

NATO Uranium Truce

RT (2024)

Film Review

This film explores the aftereffects of tens of thousands of depleted uranium (DU) cruise missiles, air bombs and shells NATO deployed during their war on Serbia in the late1990s. In numerous Serbian villages, numerous villages nearly everyone dies of a cancer and few live to reach old age. Birth defects are also drastically increased.

Based on thousands of DU studies, both in Serbia and Iraq (where NATO also deployed DU), a cancer specialist asserts its use constitutes a war crime.

Ironically NATO troops have also experienced a high incidence of cancer (mainly leukemia and brain tumors) related to to DU exposure. Commissions appointed by Italy and Greece to study the phenomenon estimate that, of 30,000 NATO troops deployed in the Bosnian and Serbian wars, 10,000-18,000 have died of cancer linked to DU exposure. Five hundred Italian NATO troops have filed a class action suit against the NATO command, with Czech, Spanish, Greek and Belgian NATO veterans ready to join them.

An Italian lawyer who estimates 8,000 Italian EU troops suffer from DU-linked cancer has won 350 DU-related cases. Despite this clear proof that DU-coated bombs and shells are dangerous, the NATO command continues to use it in Ukraine. A Serbian lawyer is filing a similar case against the NATO command, demanding that they clean up all the shells and bomb casings that continue to contaminate Serbia water supply and food chain.

Serbia has also appointed a commission to investigate the 20-30% increase in birth defects, miscarriages and stillbirths in Serbian livestock.

Despite the hundreds of NATO soldiers who have died prematurely from exposure to DU dust, no NATO member country acknowledges how dangerous it is – despite a 1973 Florida studying revealing DU weapons tests contaminated the soil with radioactive nanoparticles.

A German documentary about the Iraqi doctor who first discovered in 1991 that American DU weapons were causing high levels of birth defects was banned after a single screening.

The International Atomic Energy Agency denies that DU affects human health. In the film, the current IAEA president Rafael Gross makes the following gobbledygook explanation on camera:

“There may be isolated cases of people inhaling particles causing a health issue of a normal nature rather than a radiologic issue.”

Thousands of Iraqi  veterans who were diagnosed with leukemia and neurodegenerative diseases (known as Gulf War Syndrome) tried, unsuccessfully, to file a case with the International Court of Justice.

As of 2011, all US GIs are required to sign an agreement not to enter areas affected by DU bombs or shells. Those who fail to honor this agreement, can be denied compensation if they later develop cancer or neurodegenerative disease.*

*Like they’re given a choice? GIs who fail to follow orders in combat are shot.

Israeli Media Reveals Hamas Actually Funded by Israel

Photo credit: Abed Rahim Khatib/Flash90 – Original image source.

by Brian Shilhavy
Editor, Health Impact News

An explosive report by Israel’s Shin Bet, their internal Security Agency which is similar to the U.S.’s FBI, was published in the Israeli media this week, where they revealed that the Israeli government has in fact been funding Hamas long before the Oct. 7, 2023 terrorist attacks.

This news was scarcely covered in the U.S. media, or spun in a way to downplay its significance.

Here is the initial report published by The Jerusalem Post:

Netanyahu’s funding for Hamas via Qatar enabled October 7 invasion, Shin Bet reveals

While the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) took a significant amount of responsibility for the disasters on October 7 in its report published unexpectedly on Tuesday, it also implicated Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by implying that his policies regarding the Temple Mount, the treatment of Palestinian prisoners, and the judicial reform led to Hamas’s decision to initiate its long-planned invasion.

Other policies carried out under Netanyahu that the agency flagged as problematic and as contributions to Hamas’s decision to invade were his facilitation of Qatari funding to Hamas and his opposition to proposed assassination operations of top Hamas leaders at the time.

Israeli intelligence: Qatar developed two funding pipelines to Hamas

Israeli intelligence has said that Qatar eventually developed two funding pipelines to Hamas. One was supervised by Israel and, at least officially, only went to Gaza’s civilian needs. However, Israeli intelligence has said that another funding pipeline, especially in more recent years, circumvented Israeli oversight and went directly to Hamas.

Besides the second funding pipeline, Israeli intelligence analysts have pointed out that the funding that went to civilian Gazan needs made it easier for Hamas to spend more of its existing funds on the vast terror and military operations that the IDF was confronted with in Gaza during the war.

The report never mentions Netanyahu by name, and technically, some of these policies were those of then-national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. Netanyahu, though, as prime minister, allowed many of the policies to continue despite having the power to stop them.

Most of the report, however, was about the Shin Bet’s own failures. It did not warn about an invasion, it misinterpreted Hamas’s intentions – both before October 7 and on the day – it failed to adjust to Hamas as a sophisticated military entity, allowing Hamas to massively arm itself, and it did not recognize the depth of the harm being done to Israeli deterrence.

Another blind spot was the agency’s belief on the eve of October 7 that Hamas might be focused on an attack in the West Bank, partially because its leaders carried out an unusual terrorist attack there on October 5.

Conceptually wise, the Shin Bet said that it had far too much confidence in the IDF’s hi-tech border fence, was too invested in quiet and stability, and was too worried about miscalculations in pressuring Hamas that could lead to instability or an “unnecessary” war – as the 2014 conflict was viewed. (Full article. Emphasis mine.)

The only way to explain how this was not headline news all over the world earlier this week when this report was published, is that the Zionists have a very tight noose around the English media empires, regardless of whether they lean “liberal” or “conservative”.

And of course, shortly after this report by Shin Bet was published in the Israeli media, it was reported in the U.S. media that the U.S. was in fact in direct communication with Hamas. See:

Has Israel’s Goal Always Been to Occupy Gaza through Ethnic Cleansing and NOT to Defeat Hamas?

And this report followed Trump’s Executive Order that bypassed Congress to send over $3 BILLION in military support to Israel last week. See:

Trump Bypasses Congress with Executive Order to Send $3 BILLION in Bombs and Weapons to Israel to Expand War in West Bank

I wonder how much of that will find its way into the hands of Hamas’s military?

I bolded two significant points in my quote from The Jerusalem Post above.

First, Shin Bet is admitting that Hamas is a “sophisticated military entity”, without providing any details about how that has happened, and where they are purchasing their “sophisticated” military weapons.

It is always assumed in the Western media that Iran is supplying these weapons, but Iran denies this, and with this report now that Israel has actually been funding Hamas, it is entirely possible that this “sophisticated military” is funded by Israel, which of course is funded by the U.S.

This also lends more credibility to non-Western media sources who claim that Hamas has had the upper hand against Israel all along.

I published some excerpts earlier this week from Sam Parker of Behind the News Network and his most recent article about Gaza.

Contrary to what has been presented to the Western public, the Israeli military did not fight a war that targeted Hamas, instead they pursued their genocides and employed cowardly tactics that aimed to minimize their soldier casualties.

Ever wondered why the Israelis never had any real combat footage that featured their soldiers engaged in battles with Palestinian fighters? One explanation could be that no battles were actually fought in the Gaza Strip, yet that is contradicted by the near daily stream of clips, produced by some dozen Resistance groups, that featured attacks against the invading army.

The spokesperson for the al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, announced in his ceasefire speech that over 2,000 Israeli tanks were damaged or destroyed by the group’s fighters. Note that this is 1 group amongst many others in Gaza.

Despite the Israelis not having admitted to the number of tanks, bulldozers, jeeps, and APCs that were damaged/destroyed, reports published. And what about the Lebanese front, where an estimated 200 plus tanks were destroyed, besides other military vehicles?

The real reason why the Israelis didn’t defeat the Palestinian Resistance factions is because they weren’t really there to fight them.

The primary target of each of their invasions, throughout the Gaza Strip, was always civilian infrastructure. In Israeli media suggested that tanks were in short supply.

Their true purpose was not to pursue a military victory over Hamas, which we can prove through the absence of any clear plans at any stage of the war; it was just uncontrolled slaughter and destruction.

They sought to pulverize and terrorize, with the propaganda behind them to justify it in their own minds.

While the lie was sold to the world that the war was specifically designed to destroy Hamas, it never was, they sought to destroy the people of Gaza and their livelihoods.

They didn’t invade in order to fight Palestinian resistance groups and that’s why there is virtually no footage documenting this, even the few examples of combat footage they filmed ended up making the Palestinian fighters they killed look like heroes from an action film. (Source.)

The second point I bolded was this: Shin Bet said that it had far too much confidence in the IDF’s hi-tech border fence.

As I have been writing for over 2 years now, Big Tech is going to come crashing down at some point, because our faith in it is NOT justified, and it cannot do most of the things the Technocrats say it can do, because so much of it is Science Fiction, based on FAITH in what it can do, in the future.

As can be expected, Netanyahu received considerable criticism in Israel after this report by Shin Bet was published, and in his attempt to explain it, he did NOT deny that the reports were true.

Netanyahu: Money to Hamas part of strategy to keep Palestinians divided

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defended Israel’s regular allowing of Qatari funds to be transferred into Gaza, saying it is part of a broader strategy to keep Hamas and the Palestinian Authority separate, a source in Monday’s Likud faction meeting said.

Netanyahu explained that, in the past, the PA transferred the millions of dollars to Hamas in Gaza. He argued that it was better for Israel to serve as the pipeline to ensure the funds don’t go to terrorism.

“Now that we are supervising, we know it’s going to humanitarian causes,” the source said, paraphrasing Netanyahu.

The prime minister also said that, “whoever is against a Palestinian state should be for” transferring the funds to Gaza, because maintaining a separation between the PA in the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza helps prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state. (Source.)

Yemen gives Israel four-day ultimatum to stop blocking Gaza aid

The Cradle

The leader of Yemen’s Ansarallah resistance movement, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, announced on 7 March a four-day grace period for Israel to resume ceasefire talks and lift its blockade on humanitarian aid for Gaza, threatening to resume Sanaa’s naval operations against Israeli-linked ships.

“We meet the siege with a siege,” Houthi emphasized, adding that Yemen “cannot stand by and watch the Israeli enemy’s aggressive approach in starving the Palestinian people in Gaza.”

“We do not just issue statements, but we can support the Palestinians in several areas,” the Ansarallah leader said, pointing out that “in the course of implementing the ceasefire in Gaza, it was clear that the Israeli enemy was procrastinating in fulfilling its obligations, especially those related to the humanitarian file.

The Ansarallah-led Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) ceased military operations in support of Palestine following the start of a US-sponsored ceasefire in Gaza earlier this year. Since November 2023, the YAF repeatedly targeted US, UK, and Israeli-linked commercial ships and western warships in the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea.

Sanaa’s efforts to stop the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza prompted an illegal war initiated by Washington and London, resulting in hundreds of airstrikes in the Arab world’s poorest nation.

Despite the western onslaught, the YAF were undeterred in their military campaign and forced several US aircraft carriers and European warships out of the Red Sea. The country has also downed 15 US MQ-9 Reaper drones and recently fired its air defenses on a US F-16 jet.

A year ago, the former US Special Envoy for Yemen, Timothy Lenderking, admitted that “there is no military solution” for Yemen.

“I don’t think people really understand just kind of how deadly serious it is what we’re doing and how under threat the ships continue to be,” Commander Eric Blomberg with the USS Laboon told US media last year.

Houthi’s warning comes almost a week after Israel reimposed a total blockade on humanitarian aid shipments for Gaza after obstructing the ceasefire agreement from moving forward by demanding an extension of the first phase.

Hamas has rejected any extension of phase one and is demanding strict adherence to the agreement and international pressure on Israel.

“The resumption of war on Gaza will be met with the entire [Israeli] enemy entity coming under fire … If the war returns to Gaza, we will intervene with support through various military means,” Houthi warned on Sunday.

A high-ranking Hamas delegation has finalized crucial talks with Egypt’s top intelligence officer. The sides discussed the ceasefire with “Israel” and governance of the Gaza Strip.

Hamas’ negotiating team finalized its trip to Egypt, where the delegation discussed pathways for the implementation of the clauses of the ceasefire agreement with mediators.

The delegation, headed by Mohammad Darwish, head of Hamas’ Shura Council and Chairman of its Leadership Council, held talks with the head of Egypt’s General Intelligence Service, Major General Hassan Rashad. The two sides discussed several crucial issues, including the ceasefire agreement and the prisoner exchange deal.

A statement released by the Hamas Media Office described the talks as “positive and responsible.”

“The Hamas delegation expressed its gratitude and appreciation for Egypt’s efforts, especially in countering displacement plans,” the Palestinian Resistance movement said, referring to United States President Donald Trump’s plot to “take over” the Gaza Strip.

Welcoming the outcomes of the most recent Arab summit, Hamas highlighted Egypt’s Gaza reconstruction plan and the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to statehood.

White House envoy to travel to Doha to push for new Gaza deal

By Al Mayadeen English

White House envoy Steve Witkoff is heading to Doha to mediate a new deal for captive releases and a ceasefire between “Israel” and Hamas.

An Axios report on Sunday revealed that White House envoy Steve Witkoff is set to travel to Doha on Tuesday evening to mediate a new deal for the release of captives and a ceasefire between the Israeli occupation and Hamas movement, according to two US officials.

According to the report, this will be the first round of talks since Trump took office, and the first since the original agreement— which secured a 42-day ceasefire in exchange for releasing 33 captives— concluded a week ago.

Witkoff will join Qatari and Egyptian mediators, along with negotiators from both “Israel” and Hamas, to begin discussions on Monday. That said, the Trump administration is seeking a deal that ensures the release of all remaining captives, extends the ceasefire through Ramadan and Passover, and aims for a “long-lasting solution.”

On that note, 59 Israeli captives remain in Gaza, with 35 confirmed dead by the Israeli occupation.

Witkoff is scheduled to travel to Doha after attending a US-Ukraine meeting in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. However, according to the report, it’s uncertain whether he’ll meet with Hamas directly or only with Israeli and Qatari officials, as well as Egyptian mediators.

A senior Israeli official mentioned that Witkoff intends to bring all parties together for intense negotiations over several days in hopes of reaching a deal. Meanwhile, a Hamas delegation held talks with Egyptian officials in Cairo on Saturday regarding the Gaza ceasefire and prisoner negotiations.

Hamas has urged the parties to stick to the original deal and begin discussions on its second phase, which Israel has yet to seriously engage with.

The Resistance group also conveyed its readiness to form a committee of “national independent personalities” to govern Gaza until elections are held, a move that would relinquish its control over the area’s civilian governance.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened senior ministers and security chiefs on Saturday to strategize the next steps for the Gaza deal. His office confirmed that “Israel” accepted the mediators’ invitation and will send a delegation to Doha on Monday to advance the negotiations.

Welcoming the outcomes of the most recent Arab summit, Hamas highlighted Egypt’s Gaza reconstruction plan and the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to statehood.

In further detail, Hamas’ negotiating team emphasized the need to uphold the terms of the multi-phase ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian Resistance and “Israel”.

The Israeli regime continues to blatantly violate the agreement, which includes the delivery of large amounts of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, as well as multiple acts of aggression against civilians.

Most importantly, the Israeli government ignored a time limit to enter negotiations for the second phase of the agreement, which would have secured the release of the remaining Israeli captives and a lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

“The delegation emphasized the need to uphold all terms of the agreement, immediately commence negotiations for the second phase, reopen border crossings, and allow the unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza,” the statement underlined.
