Speaking or acting publicly and challenging policies of the U.S. government takes courage from an average citizen of the United States; it is doubly so for those who are employed by the U.S. government, and particularly those in the U.S. military.

Under the Biden administration we had seven examples of courageous acts of conscience by members of the U.S. military in refusing to be a part of the Israeli-U.S. genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.

During the Trump administration, many who have privately dissented from the endless illegal policies have been fired, in particular those in the U.S. military, no matter what rank, and especially if he or she had any connection to DOD’s mandated Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs.

Few have publicly challenged Trump policies while remaining in the government.

Yet, one U.S. Air Force Major has done just that.
