Because European Russophobia is finally falling apart, with even Scholz calling for peace.
Because of a shocking prank interview with Poland’s foreign minister Sikorsky dynamiting the Euro position (see below).
Because it made no practical sense, even if Russia backed down, as there is little stock of the hyper expensive long range missiles and Russia has been shooting many of them down.
So what happens next
The war goes on. Logically Ukraine had lost from the beginning, only for US’s post Afghanistan desire for looting Ukraine, supposedly weakening Russia, promoting its arms industry and fanning russophobia to self sabotage its EU economic rivals.
Russia says it will make no deal until Kursk is cleared of Ukraine/NATO forces.
What is proposed by Trump and Scholz is basically a rehash of the 2014 Minsk agreements which were cynically ignored, as now officially admitted, while NATO armed Ukraine’s far right racist attacks on ethnic Russian areas for 8 years.
So the war goes on and on, with up to half a million dead soldiers. With up to half the Ukrainian population dead, disabled or escaped the collapsing repressive state which is only kept going by declining foreign subsidies, and facing a new mass illegal emigration due to a coming winter with little electricity.

Looks like this is going to be the “winter of everyone’s discontent.” I am so very glad that Vladimir Putin has ramped up his official status on being damned tired of Washington’s warmongers and their stooges around the globe. It is now or never because those warmongers really need to be stopped, for good!

The poor American Establishment. They just can’t understand why everyone hates them. And, now, even more than half of Americans hate them because the infrastructure of the country is falling apart, but, they only have money for wars. To top this off, the country with the First Amendment in it’s Constitution is trying to censor everything but the Party Line. The Mainstream Media in North America and Europe is the new Pravda and, an arm of the CIA, MI-6, Mossad, and the billionaire donor class.

According to my reckoning, the US has operated in a war economy ever since World War II, and this is the main reason its infrastructure is collapsing.

That is true Dr. Bramhall, but, at least in the fifties, sixties, and seventies they paid some attention to the wishes of the citizens. Since the fall of the Soviet Union the gloves are off and their destructive greed knows no bounds. Today, insane, bloodthirsty lunatics run America’s Foreign Policy and most of their Domestic policy. If America wishes to survive, this insanity cannot last.
