The Associated Press was forced to issue a correction after it falsely claimed that 70 per cent of calls to the Mississippi Poison Control Center were about people ingesting ivermectin to treat COVID-19.
The actual number was 2 per cent.

Why do people not mind being told fake news?
Why are people not told that they definitely should not take ivermectin that is produced for treatment in animals, but that it is alright, to take ivermectin that is produced for humans, preferably under competent medical supervision?

Ivermectin was not produced for treatment in animals, Aunty. That is fake news. Ivermectin was first developed for treatment of malaria, river blindness and other parasites, and it’s widely used in Third World countries for this purpose.
