Eats shoots and leaves

Data tracking is the keystone of pandemic defense, and because mobile phones track everything we do in intimate detail, they’re perfect vehicles for tracking the spread of the disease.

Armed with that data, healthcare organizations and researchers can track contacts, providing only that the people you meet have their own mobiles.

The danger begins when that data gets exploited by people who don’t have our best interests at heart, be they governments, criminals, corporate stalkers pitching us their wares, or tabloid journalists hungering for headlines.
