The top 50 countries in the world in terms of private jet ownership have a total fleet of nearly 18,000 jets. According to Statista, private jet ownership is soaring in most developed countries (as wealth inequality accelerates thanks to central bank interventions and 10 years of Cantillon Effects).
Now hold it! How could Tubularsock fly to NY every Thursday for lunch if it wasn’t for Tubularsock’s private jet. Maybe you should think about others sometime!

Well I suppose it’s theoretically possible for you to continue your jet setting ways, Tube, but only if you persuade 2 billion people to give up meat, cars, and electric clothes dryers, as well as agreeing to voluntary vasectomies.

Tubularsock believes the best solution, in order to keep his private jet, is to push for mandatory vasectomies!
Only because with that we won’t need worry about 2 billion people because the population would drop thus ending the need for that much meat, cars, and dryers.
Oh, “electric” dryers? Tubularsock has a clothes line ……

I commented over there: “how about scrapping luxury yachts and cruise ships?” But that still leaves the mega problem of the most polluting and least needed “industry” of all: the US military machine. How does that stop? Do we have to wait until its funding runs out and they have to hold bake sales to pay for their fuel bills? That’s a lot of cake… of course they could try selling yellow cake uranium…

Excellent point, Sha’Tara. We all need to make an effort to spread that message.
