  1. It takes a lot of farm to feed a city, yet Asia and the rest of the world seem to be hypnotized by the US’ bad example. North and South America were pristine continents when the Europeans arrived only five hundred years ago, yet we are now beginning to drown in our own poisons.

    The articles don’t attempt to compare the situation in India with that of the US, but culturally, India is a whole lot older, so probably has been doing something right. By Asian standards, the US is a cultural upstart but is riding for ruin and taking the world with it, I fear, with its empty commercialism.

    Yet another good article choice.
