Los Angeles is quickly becoming America’s biggest disaster-zone, with rat-infested piles of trash fueling concerns about a new typhus epidemic.
According to a report by NBC Los Angeles, the city’s most notorious trash pile, located between downtown LA’s Fashion and Produce districts, continues to be a magnet for rats after it was cleaned up a few months ago.

Why is every single news report on the homeless crisis from Fox News? Fox News is not known for their empathetic coverage on issues dealing with homelessness and of course Tucker Carlson has some disparaging remarks about Nancy Pelosi as though she is the one who is solely responsible for why there is a homeless epidemic. Vice News reports on many people who are experiencing homelessness and so why, again, was Fox News used to focus on the problem of mass homelessness in America? Fox News does not have ‘fair and balanced’ reporting and everyone with more than two brain cells connected is aware of this.
The problem of mass homelessness can be easily eradicated but because no one wants to eradicate it, it is growing and will continue to grow thanks to the massive and relentless storm systems that are now a part of the North American landscape and preceding that is the fact that wages are not keeping pace with the cost of living. Both are adding to why there is a massive increase in homelessness. They are here to stay and very soon now, homelessness will not be just a Los Angeles problem or a Seattle problem or an Anchorage Alaska problem, but homelessness will be a nationwide problem and if we want to keep it real, it already is.
And I read a report the other day about the fact that rats have overtaken New York as well. If something is not done about mass homelessness, nationwide, then we are looking at something that will make the Black Plague look like a cake walk.
To answer your question, Shelby, Fox News only covers poverty in the “liberal” states of California, Oregon and Washington to make them look bad – and it always seems to be from that angle. I’m pretty sure that the rural poor in Trump states live in far worse conditions, mainly because they always have. Last year the the Seattle City Council enacted a head tax on Amazon, Microsoft and other major corporations that manage to avoid most income taxes.
