Brussels residents refuse to be used as guinea pigs.
The statement was made by Céline Fremault, the Minister of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, responsible for Housing, Quality of Life, Environment and Energy. From an interview last Friday, with L’Echo:
“I cannot welcome such technology if the radiation standards, which must protect the citizen, are not respected, 5G or not. The people of Brussels are not guinea pigs whose health I can sell at a profit. We cannot leave anything to doubt.”

A sad fact is that America will most definitely say “Yes!” to 5G. Americans want everything at the speed of light even if it is killing them. And so apparently, they don’t think they’re dying fast enough as it is what with opioid overdoses, intentional suicides, gun violence, a sedentary lifestyle that has fostered an obesity epidemic accompanied by high cholesterol and diabetes and the list is endless.

Let me know if they put up a 5G transmitter on your utility pole, Shelby. I’m doing some investigation about how to dismantle them without electrocuting yourself and I definitely want to share the information.

Good point, ebolainfo. The Belgian people have a reputation for complacency going back several decades. I think this is changing, though. Weren’t they one of the first countries to take up the yellow vest movement from France?

I think that if Brussels could easily get away with outlawing 5G in Brussels alone, thus allowing it for the rest of Belgium, it would.

Good point, marblenecltr. I assume the city fathers of Brussels are responding to grassroots pressure, which is much easier to organize on a local level.
