Henry Ford famously designed and built a car almost entirely made out of hemp plastic in the 1940’s. . . Ford’s finished vehicle only relied on metal for the frame. It was therefore over 1,000 pounds lighter than a comparable model and the hemp plastic paneling was far more resistant to damage.

No worries, Rosaliene. I must admit I’m really into hemp. A bunch of us are looking at it as a replacement crop for dairy – which is extremely damaging to our waterways as well as the climate. Hempcrete is also a great replacement for concrete, which has a large carbon footprint.

Hemp Plastic is worth looking into if they worth for alternative to Petroleum based Plastic which that come crude oil. Hemp can also be use of other things like building material, Clothing, Medicine, etc. Even if Hemp Plastic to replace Petroleum based Plastic; Plastic Pollution from Petroleum based Plastic will still need to be address until the issue is resolved.
