Independent measurement shows radiation levels remain quite high in Fukushima – and even in Tokyo – despite Japanese government claims to the contrary.
Disaster-hit Fukushima still short of 2020 Games volunteers, Japan TodayFeb. 24 FUKUSHIMA Fukushima Prefecture is still well short of its target for recruiting volunteers to help it stage some events at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics — a setback to its efforts to showcase its recovery from the 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster.
With the deadline for recruitment approaching at the end of this month, the northeastern prefecture, which is to host several softball and baseball games, was only a third of the way to its target of 1,500 volunteers.
Of the 503 people who had applied as of early February, 70 percent were in their 40s or above, with much lower participation from those in their teens and 20s, according to the prefecture.

Japan is absolutely inundated with the worst RADIONUCLIDE poisons. My mother in law and father in law dead from cancer in Japan. My high school friend from Yokohama diagnosed with colon cancer in 2013 . her daughter dead at the age of 22 from Leukemia while attending Univsity of Tokyo.

Thanks for the clip, Doug. We have Olympic hopefuls already starting to train here in New Plymouth – I can’t believe they are willing to expose themselves to such heavy radiation doses.

They must be insane! There is no way in hell that I would participate in the 2020 Olympics. Not a chance! And for those who are hell bent on doing so, I can only shake my head over their obvious stupidity, insanity and lack of concern for their health and safety. What is wrong with people that will make them such dutiful sheeple to be so easily led into extreme and obvious danger? I cannot fathom it!

Shelby, they will have to eat the local food, which is still heavily irradiated. And when you exercise, you significantly increase your respiratory rate – which quadruples or quintuples the amount you take into your lungs. And when I try to warn people, I’m accused of harboring conspiracy theories.

Dr. Bramhall, you can only do so much. You cannot make people listen to the truth. When they find out that you were right all along, it will be too late. They will be suffering the same fate as Doug’s relatives in the above comment.
