China’s action would likely decrease the global use of glyphosate as a desiccant. The practice, known as desiccating, pre-harvest spraying or crop topping, is favored by many ‘conventional’ farmers as a way to hasten the even ripening of grains, legumes and other crops.
We should join China in that effort.

Excellent point, marblenecltr. I suspect with China being such a large export market, that US farmers will be forced to greatly reduce Roundup use and domestic consumers will indirectly benefit.

I think that we would be joining Europe as well. What will Bayer do, to whom will they sell that former Monsanto product (RoundUp.) Describing a problem in law in childhood language, “You touched it last, you own it.” I believe I have the facts right on this, if I don’t, please do not be afraid to tell me. My apologies if incorrect.
