Funny thing my Neurologist give me hell for going off statins because they caused weakness in my legs, now still off statins because my auto immune disease attacks the Milan(cholesterol}around my peripheral nerves i need more milan not less but why does my Neurologist who teaches other Dr. at oldest university in Thailand disagree with me?

The problem with really old universities, gerry, is they don’t keep up with new research. The latest research shows there is no link at all between cholesterol or animal fats and heart disease – that this was all based on a 50-year-old fraudulent study and systematic persecution of any scientists who came up with contradictory findings. The real reason statins are linked to a lower incidence of heart attacks is due to anti-inflammatory effects – not anticholesterol effects.
