“The one clear message the Beijing meeting sent out to the world is that America’s «unipolar» vision of the world was dead and buried. Even among Washington’s longtime friends and allies, one will not hear Donald Trump referred to as the «leader of the Free World.”

Tales from the Conspiratum

“The United States is a power, a second-rate one that happens to possess a first-rate nuclear arsenal.”

While vaudevillian comedy-like shouting matches broke out in the West Wing of the White House between President Donald Trump and his senior advisers and between the White House press secretary and various presidential aides, world leaders gathered in Beijing to discuss the creation of modern-day land and maritime «silk roads» to improve the economic conditions of nations around the world. I think it is all about to change again. I think CHina is finished actually

  2. Hard to say, Simon. The article isn’t really about China, it’s about Russia, Turkey, Philippines, Argentina, Chile, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Kenya, Uzbekistan, and Laos, as well as the prime ministers of Vietnam, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Serbia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Fiji, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Egypt, Finland, Iran, Kuwait, Lebanon, Maldives, Romania, Nepal, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda, Japan and France. In fact the only major countries who didn’t send representatives to this conference were the US, the UK and Germany.

Trump is trying to transition US foreign policy to be more inclusive, working with Russia, China, Iran, N. Korea, and (hopefully) position/ align toward 21st century reality. Otherwise the world will simply move on without the US.

  4. Sometimes, revolutions take place quietly on the sidelines. However, the nuclear threat is yet to be defused.

    • Yes, the nuclear threat is a major concern. Dismantling this technology requires a level of technical skill that few ordinary people possess. I guess this will depend on our ability to win a few nuclear engineers over to our side.

  5. Futuret, most Muslims oppose fundamentalist Sharia Law and this article seems to overlook that fact.

MAY BE SO, BUT I WOULD NOT TURN MY BACK, AND HAVE COMPLETE TRUST. I DO KNOW ONE THING, I WOULD NOT LIKE TO LIVE IN A MUSLIM COUNTRY. IN SOME SECTORS IN THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY, SHARIA LAW IN ON A “HIT AND MISS” BASIS. AS IT IS I DO NOT LIKE LIVING ON THIS PLANET FOR THE WICKEDNESS, EVIL, AND DESTRUCTION SOME ASSOCIATED WITH MUSLIMS, SOME NOT ASSOCIATED WITH MUSLIMS, AND MOSTLY SO CALLED HUMANS THAT CARRY AROUND WITH THEM DEMONS.
