Via Michael Snyder of The Economic Collapse blog,

After Tuesday night, nobody should have any more doubt that the U.S. economy has been in the process of collapsing. Donald Trump?s speech to a joint session of Congress is being hailed as his best speech ever. Even CNN?s Van Jones praised Trump, which shocked many observers. Jones said that when Trump honored the widow of slain Navy Seal Ryan Owens that it ?was one of the most extraordinary moments you have ever seen in American politics?, and Jones believes that Trump ?became President of the United States in that moment?. But Trump?s speech is not just being praised for that one moment.

He detailed many of the most important problems that our nation is facing, and he explained his prescription for addressing those problems.

Hopefully Trump?s words helped people to understand that our problems did not get fixed just because he…

I DO NOT SEE THINGS GETTING ANY BETTER UNDER TRUMP. THINGS BEGIN WITH HIM, AND THAT MEANS BRINGING HIS DAUGHTER’S AND WIFE’S FASHIONS, SHOES, JEWELRY, ETC..BACK TO THE UNITED STATES. THEY HAVE THEIR GOODS MANUFACTURED EVERYWHERE ELSE, BUT IN THE UNITED STATES. HE SHOULD SELL HIS INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSES AND BRING THOSE BACK HOME TOO. THINGS WILL BECOME SEVERELY WORSE, AND WORSE YET; ALL THESE LEADERS HAVE ONE GOAL AND ONE GOAL ONLY, TO GET RID OF MOST OF US, AND TO MICROCHIP THE REMAINING. SPEECHES DO NOT MEAN A DAMNED THING TO ME, EVERY LINE DOES COVER UP ANOTHER LIE. I SAY THIS AS AMERICAN, WE GET PISSED THEN WE GET DUPED, THEN WE GET PISSED AGAIN, AND THEN WE GET DUPED AGAIN; IT IS JUST ONE OF THESE CYCLES THAT WE CAN NOT PUT AN END TO. THE ONLY THING THAT CAN PUT THESE CYCLES TO AN END IS ONE REALISTIC NUCLEAR BOMB RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES AND THE FOREHEAD. THE ONLY ONE I SHALL EVER HAVE IN MY LIFE IS JESUS CHRIST AND REFUSE TO HAVE NOTHING ELSE, THE MESSIAH IS THE ONLY ONE FOR ME.

    • Excellent point, futuret. Federal elections solve nothing – the only solution is for people to take back control of running their lives and communities themselves. I will say one good thing about Trump – the problems he mentioned in his speech started decades ago and have been getting consistently worse – yet he’s the first President to use his bully pulpit to acknowledge they are even happening.

GOVERNMENT AND I DO NOT CARE WHICH ONE IT IS, THEY ARE ALL STUPID AND EVIL. THEY HAVE THEIR OWN SOCIETIES AND IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM REPRESENT ANY OF THE PEOPLE. I TELL YOU WHAT DR. BRAMHALL, THERE ARE AMERICAN IDIOTS TO THIS DAY, WHO DO NOT KNOW WHO THE VICE PRESIDENT IS, THEIR OFFICIALS, OR ANYTHING. YES, WE HAVE MORE THAN OUR SHARE OF IDIOTS IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. MANY CITY HALLS ON LOCAL LEVELS SHOULD BE STORMED, AND THEN MAY BE THESE OFFICIALS IN THE CITY HALLS CAN SEND PITCH FORKS TO WASHINGTON, D.C.., BUT THIS IS ONLY FOOLISH WISHFUL THINKING. THEY ALL HAVE DISAGREEMENTS AND FIGHTS, YOU NAME IT, BUT WHEN IT IS ALL SAID AND DONE, THEY KISS EACH OTHER AND MAKE UP FOR IT LATER. NONE OF THEM REPRESENT ME, BECAUSE I FOR ONE, SHALL NEVER ETERNALLY GIVE MY SOUL TO THE DEVIL.

  2. I believe the situation is even worse than Donald Trump’s assessment. Of course, each new Administration blames the previous one for its inheritance because as we all know, Obama droned on and on about what he had inherited from Bush. However, Obama did nothing but make matters worse and added to the problems in a most severe and harsh manner while his stinking ass and that of his wife’s have gone on to secure a book deal worth $60 million. Nice, ain’t it? So while they swill champagne and munch on caviar, we drown in debt, get sick, become homeless and croak; the new American nightmare!

And where is Trump going to find the money to fix our infrastructure, what with a looming debt crisis? Not to forget, we’ve got a ‘wall’ to build. For the love of !!!!!!

  3. You are absolutely right, Shelby. The situation is much, much worse than he acknowledges. I guess the 3 things that bother me the most are 1) that he fails to mention the most important crisis we face, namely impending catastrophic climate change (which he continues to deny, 2) that he fails to mention the grave resource scarcity we face as a “consumerist” society (we’re not only running out of oil and natural gas, but fresh water and topsoil) and 3) he still clings to the myth that there’s a good paying job out there for everyone. I think there’s really good evidence that the current economic crisis has a lot more to do with this growing resource scarcity than with automation and shipping jobs overseas.

As for the wall, that will take years. Most of the land needed for the wall is in private hands and it will take years in court for Trump to get access to it.
