This has been the problem with science over the last century-plus, as far as I am concerned. I read an article a few weeks back, by an older scientist, one with a conscience still in tact, and he stated something to the effect, “Just because we can do something, does not mean that we should!”
If this wisdom had existed, during this same time period, we might still have homeopathic medicine and a world free of not only drones but nuclear weapons and radiation poisoning as well!
As I’ve said before, modern man is like a child who has been given a loaded shotgun to play with, he’s the mouse that roared!
In my view, the true danger is that the common people are given no say in approving technologies that are often a major threat to their health and safety.
