I can’t imagine what parents can be thinking to allow this to happen. My daughter and son-in-law are postponing vaccinations as long as possible – only if there is an outbreak – with my grandson. They’re particularly concerned now that his sister has developed rheumatoid arthritis (which they believe is secondary to vaccines owing to the absence of family history).
The doctors tried to give Nolan a hepatitis B vaccine when he was 12 hours old. When my daughter asked how he could possibly catch hepatitis B, they told her he could be exposed to it in the hospital. She said if the hospital had this big a problem with infectious disease control they should shut down.

Right now, we’re fighting a major battle here in Taranaki trying to stop them from digging fracking wells next to homes and schools.

Some are more harmful than others – benzene seems to be particularly carcinogenic. The oil and gas companies have been fracking here in Taranaki for more than 20 years and we have a nice little cancer cluster in south Taranaki.
