The water crisis in Flint, Michigan has inspired an unlikely partnership: a local militia group is coordinating with outspoken liberal filmmaker Michael Moore to demand accountability and clean water for residents.

Moore, a Flint native who first gained notoriety for his his documentary on the town’s economic hardships, has spoken out against the state and local government’s negligent handling of the disaster. The high volume of lead in public water supplies has contaminated children’s blood and led Flint’s mayor to declare a state of emergency.

The crisis has drawn widespread attention and outrage.

At a rally on January 16, Michael Moore said, “I am standing in the middle of a crime scene. Ten people have been killed … because of a decision to save money.” The city’s water supply was changed from Detroit’s water supply to the Flint River in 2014…

  1. I detest Moore, but he is right here!

This entire thing is a travesty, an atrocity, which most Americans still seem willing to put up with. All I hear from the msm is technology and how advanced everything is, and yet, when it comes to the basics, including infrastructure, we are still living in a country stuck in 1910.

    • From everything I’ve read, the whole system of water chlorination is obsolete – as well as a health risk. Chlorine creates nasty organochlorines that can increase your cancer risk: http://www.mercola.com/downloads/bonus/chlorine/default.htm

Treating drinking water with ultraviolet radiation is a far more cost effective solution to water sterilization: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/clean-water-technology/

Some civil engineers question whether we need to sanitize all the water we deliver to homes – when most of it is used for purposes other than drinking.

      • Sounds to me like common sense (a mocked term these days), especially the idea of not sanitizing all water. Why do we need sanitized water for bathing and flushing toilets, for instance?

And of course, ultra violet radiation, being a more cost effective and safe way to treat water, would never be considered by the powers in control.

It it causes harm to people and is expensive to produce (profitable to a few psychotics), then the powers will always go with it, no matter what it is.

I still firmly believe that if they could get away with it, these creatures would mass murder all of us in a single day.
