Trump Sends Maxwell to Club Fed with Puppies, Anti-Aging—and Easy Escapes

The convicted sex trafficker is now enjoying a lax life in lockup, but her fellow inmates reportedly hate her.

Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell is enjoying cushy new digs at a prison camp that has no cell blocks or guard towers but does offer a full gym, yoga classes, and a “puppy program.”

Maxwell, 63, was quietly transferred last week from a prison in Florida to a minimum-security camp in Bryan, Texas. Oversight at her new facility is so lax, it partially relies on the honor system to keep inmates from—quite literally—walking off its wall-free campus, as three women did in 2017.

Federal Prison Camp, Bryan has been nicknamed “Club Fed,” as its inmates have access to an outdoor running track, music programs, intramural competitions, social and cultural events, and activities like table tennis, prison consultant Michael Santos says.

At the facility, Maxwell will be permitted to buy mascara ($13.10), eyeliner ($1.70), concealer ($7.75), powder ($17), lip gloss ($3.40), makeup wipes ($9.25), and, the priciest luxury available, L’Oréal Revita anti-aging cream ($26.00), according to a comissary list obtained by the Daily Beast. Inmates are allowed to spend $360 a month there.

If she wishes, Maxwell can also buy materials for hobbies like painting, crocheting, and sewing, all of which are offered for sale. If she is tight on cash, she is also free to enjoy the camp’s free classes for weightlifting, yoga, and even Pilates.

Julie Howell, a 44-year-old who self-surrendered to Federal Prison Camp, Bryan last month on a theft charge, told her loved ones she was accepted into a “puppy program” that allows her to spend her days training a “12-week-old yellow lab named Louise” to become a service dog, she posted to Facebook on July 22.

“The program is really fantastic, and they are very strict about adhering to the rules and training,” she posted. “This is my ‘job’ while I’m here, and it’s literally 24/7 as the puppies stay in the room with us. It’s me, my bunkie, and a puppy, and we have to supervise the puppy at all times.”

She added of her prison gig, “I absolutely love it.”

Convicted sex traffickers like Maxwell are not typically permitted in a minimum-security camp, and the family of one of her victims, Virginia Giuffre, slammed Trump for granting Maxwell such “luxury” accommodations. Maxwell’s transfer came shortly after she spoke with Justice Department officials about Epstein for two days.

It remains unclear exactly how Maxwell is spending her time in Texas. She now lives in dormitory-style housing on the same property as disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and reality TV star Jen Shah.

Maxwell is no ordinary inmate. However, a handbook obtained by the Daily Beast lays out what her day-to-day life would look like if she were treated as one at the Texas facility.

The handbook adds that Maxwell would be required to be awake by 6 a.m. for work each day, with breakfast beginning at 6:30 a.m. most days. Her work in the kitchen would not stop there. An early lunch is served between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. on weekdays, followed by dinner that is served between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.

According to the protocol outlined in the handbook, last updated in 2023, Maxwell would spend her first three months working in the prison camp’s kitchen, where she would be required to wear an all-khaki prison outfit and a lanyard identifying her by name.

Maxwell would earn between 12 cents and $1.15 an hour for her work and would be eligible to seek a new prison job—perhaps practicing carpentry or training service dogs—after 90 days.

FPC Bryan is often heralded as one of the most laid-back places to be a prisoner in the United States.

Donald Trump and Ghislaine Maxwell’s social lives overlapped for years.

Prison Pink Lady Consultants writes on its website that, save for Maxwell, who is British, its population is made up of “non-violent female federal inmates” from the Southern United States, many of whom are serving time for financial crimes. It adds that inmates usually sleep in two-person bunk beds in a room of four in dormitories where guards have limited oversight. The property is 37 acres and is surrounded by residential neighborhoods. A public park and basketball court are just a half-mile away.

Inmate Aid, another prison consultant, writes that FPC Bryan offers “grounds with unsecured perimeters, generally unrestricted or open movement within those perimeters, and low inmate-to-staff ratios.”

It adds that inmates there can “expect relatively relaxed monitoring of mail, Corrlinks email, telephone calls, and visits, as well as fairly unsupervised and unmonitored recreational and leisure activities.”

Still, FPC Bryan is a prison, and it is safe to assume that the majority of its population does not want to be there. A former inmate described the camp to Fox Business as “close” to being the “hellhole” of the U.S. prison system.

Maxwell is sure to face challenges that most others do not have to face. While former FPC Bryan inmates note that inmates at the camp regularly rally behind each other and become friends, Maxwell carries significantly more baggage than someone convicted of wire fraud.

A report by The Telegraph claims that Maxwell is already an outcast in Texas.

“Every inmate I’ve heard from is upset she’s here,” Howell told the paper. “This facility is supposed to house non-violent offenders. Human trafficking is a violent crime.”

Howell expressed fear that the facility—which reportedly has no razor wire, watch towers, and has fewer guards per inmate than the majority of federal prisons—may not be equipped to protect Maxwell and other inmates from outside harm.

“This is a camp you can literally walk out of,” she told the Telegraph. “I don’t care how many people she turns in; it doesn’t take away from her actions. As a mother of a sex-trafficking victim, I’m absolutely disgusted she’s in this facility. Regardless of her reasoning, I don’t think she belongs here.”

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer subpoenaed multiple former government officials, including Bill and Hillary Clinton, and former FBI director James Comey — and is demanding the Justice Department release all documents related to its Jeffrey Epstein probe.

Why it matters: Despite President Trump’s efforts to shut down questions surrounding Epstein, Democratic lawmakers have time and again forced their Republican colleagues to confront the issue.

The subpoena demands the DOJ turn over all Epstein-related materials by August 19.

The panel is also seeking to compel testimony from former Attorneys General Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Merrick Garland, William Barr, Jeff Sessions, and Alberto Gonzales — as well as from former FBI director Robert Mueller.

The deposition dates Comer announced range from Aug. 18 (Barr) to Oct. 14 (Bill Clinton).

The big picture: Trump and his GOP allies in Congress have faced an uproar from their MAGA base ever since the DOJ concluded last month that Epstein had no “client list” and died by suicide.

The subpoenas that Comey issued Tuesday are a direct rebuke of GOP leadership, which has worked to sideline Epstein-related votes.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has consistently called for transparency in the case, and said “there’s no fear” among his conference around the issue.

Coconut Oil Continues to Benefit Alzheimer’s Patients over Drugs as Studies Continue for Neurological Benefits

by Brian Shilhavy
Editor, Health Impact News

The near miraculous effects of some Alzheimer’s sufferers recovering their memories and stopping or even reversing the effects of Alzheimer’s disease have been widely published in the alternative health media for at least a decade and a half now, and CoconutOil.com, part of the Health Impact News network, is the world’s leading source on information about using coconut oil for Alzheimer’s patients.

While a few clinical trials have been proposed and even started to try and understand how coconut oil works so well with neurological diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease, coconut oil is a food and natural product that cannot be patented. Hence, few are willing to invest the money needed to study this in clinical trials.

However, there is a strong market for by-products from coconut oil to be used in other formulations that can be patented. The main extract from coconut oil that has a long history of marketing is lauric acid, a medium chain fatty acid that has been used in applications like food preservation for years, due to its known use as an anti-microbial.

It is also used sometimes in conjunction with pharmaceutical drugs, antibiotics, where pathogens become resistant to pharmaceutical antibiotics.

Coconut oil is nature’s richest source of lauric acid, with 50% of the composition of coconut oil consisting of lauric acid. Nature’s second most abundant source of lauric acid is human breast milk, at about 8%.

In fact, in a recent study published earlier this year (2025), the product “Monolaurin”, which is derived from lauric acid extracted from coconut oil, was studied on “inhibiting antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in patients with atopic dermatitis” skin conditions.

Monolaurin inhibits antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in patients with atopic dermatitis

by Nature: Scientific Reports

Abstract

Frequent use of antibiotics increases the incidence of antimicrobial-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in atopic dermatitis (AD), which prompts the search for new treatments. Monolaurin is a chemical byproduct found in coconut oil and has anti-bacterial properties.

This study aimed to investigate the inhibitory effect of monolaurin on antimicrobial-resistant S. aureus. Thirty children and thirty adults diagnosed with AD were recruited and swabbed at three different sites: lesion, non-lesion, and nasal mucosa. Methicillin resistance and high-level mupirocin resistance in S. aureus were identified using mecA and mupA PCR, respectively, whilst fusidic acid resistance were detected by fusA gene sequencing.

The broth microdilution method and tetrazolium bromide assays were used for monolaurin susceptibility and cellular cytotoxicity, respectively. We show that S. aureus was frequently isolated from lesions of both children and adults with AD. One isolate of methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) harboring mecA, one isolate of mupirocin-resistant S. aureus harboring mupA, and four isolates of fusidic acid-resistant S. aureus with novel point mutations of fusA were found in the children group.

In silico molecular docking showed that these mutants interacted weakly with fusidic acid, explaining the mechanism of drug resistance. Monolaurin inhibited these antimicrobial-resistant S. aureus isolates with a minimal inhibitory concentration of 2 µg/mL without cytotoxicity to cultured epidermal and dermal cells. These data show that monolaurin could potentially be used to inhibit antimicrobial-resistant S. aureus in AD patients.

So it was not surprising to me that two studies have already been published this year (2025) looking at using lauric acid from coconut oil to develop treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease, given Big Pharma’s failures over the years to develop a drug that had any real positive effects on the disease.

This could eventually lead to some kind of patented product, as Monolaurin is, to be used in Alzheimer’s treatments.

Effects of lauric acid on cognitive impairment in a scopolamine-induced Alzheimer’s disease-like rat model

by Nutritional Neuroscience

Abstract

Background: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a multi-factorial type of dementia that poses a social and medical burden in that no effective treatment has been achieved yet. Impaired brain glucose metabolism is one of the major pathophysiological factors linked to its onset and progression. Lauric acid (LA) is a triglyceride with medium chain that can produce ketone body utilize by the brain as an alternative energy source.

Objective: Therefore, the present study was carried out with the purpose of evaluating the effect of LA on cognitive impairments in scopolamine-induced AD-like rat model.

Methods: Forty-two male Wistar rats were divided into six groups to receive normal saline, scopolamine, scopolamine with Donepezil, and scopolamine with varied doses of LA for a period of 21 days. Morris water maze (MWM) and Elevated Plus Maze (EPM) tests were performed to evaluate cognitive performance. After, brains were harvested and processed to assay for the level of malondialdehyde (MDA), reduced glutathione (GSH), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and interleukin-6 (IL-6). Histological analyses using Haematoxylin and eosin staining was also performed.

Results: The LA-treated groups demonstrated memory retention in the MWM and EPM tests, and showed increased levels of CAT, SOD, and GSH similar to the Donepezil group, in contrast to the scopolamine only group while MDA levels, IL-6, and AChE activity were reduced in the LA treated groups contrasted to scopolamine only group. LA reduces oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, and AChE activity, which indicates a possible ability of LA to protect against AD.

The Therapeutic Potential of Butyrate and Lauric Acid in Modulating Glial and Neuronal Activity in Alzheimer’s Disease

by Nutrients.

Abstract

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder marked by amyloid-β plaque accumulation, tau tangles, and extensive neuroinflammation. Neuroinflammation, driven by glial cells like microglia and astrocytes, plays a critical role in AD progression. Initially, these cells provide protective functions, such as debris clearance and neurotrophic support.

However, as AD progresses, chronic activation of these cells exacerbates inflammation, contributing to synaptic dysfunction, neuronal loss, and cognitive decline. Microglia release pro-inflammatory cytokines and reactive oxygen species (ROS), while astrocytes undergo reactive astrogliosis, further impairing neuronal health. This maladaptive response from glial cells significantly accelerates disease pathology.

Current AD treatments primarily aim at symptomatic relief, with limited success in disease modification.

While amyloid-targeting therapies like Aducanumab and Lecanemab show some promise, their efficacy remains limited. In this context, natural compounds have gained attention for their potential to modulate neuroinflammation and promote neuroprotection.

Among these, butyrate and lauric acid are particularly notable. Butyrate, produced by a healthy gut microbiome, acts as a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor, reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines and supporting neuronal health.

Lauric acid, on the other hand, enhances mitochondrial function, reduces oxidative stress, and modulates inflammatory pathways, thereby supporting glial and neuronal health. Both compounds have been shown to decrease amyloid-β deposition, reduce neuroinflammation, and promote neuroprotection in AD models.

This review explores the mechanisms through which butyrate and lauric acid modulate glial and neuronal activity, highlighting their potential as therapeutic agents for mitigating neuroinflammation and slowing AD progression.

These studies are both designed to use lauric acid from coconut oil to develop new drugs or supplements for Alzheimer’s that can be patented.

But you don’t have to wait for these new drugs or supplements! Coconut Oil, especially Virgin Coconut Oil, can be readily purchased right now in almost any store that sells groceries that include edible oils.

See all the testimonials we have published over the years here. A list of all the studies on coconut oil for other issues beside Alzheimer’s and neurological problems, can be found on our Peer Reviewed research page here.

Of course I know of a great source to purchase a high quality premium coconut oil, but to link to that source from this article is illegal according to the rules of the FDA, as I would be accused of selling “unapproved drugs” by the FDA and be subject to arrest and possibly go to jail, as I have been threatened in the past by the FDA.

Also know that in spite of the current Secretary of Health and Human Services, Mr. Kennedy, who is promoting animal fats over “seed oils”, the FDA STILL states that saturated fat in general, and coconut oil in particular, is dangerous for your health as a matter of national USDA policy. (Source.)

China Chokes Western Defense Supply With Minerals Stranglehold

An iridium billet - Sputnik International, 1920, 04.08.2025

Sputnik International

China is restricting supplies of critical minerals to Western defense firms, delaying production and forcing them to seek alternatives in other markets, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources at the companies.

For example, the newspaper points out, one drone manufacturer that supplies the US military was forced to delay orders for up to two months while it searched for a replacement for Chinese magnets made from rare earth metals.

Traders told the newspaper that some materials needed by the Western defense industry were now selling at prices five or more times higher than they were before China imposed the restrictions.

More than 80,000 components used by the Pentagon contain minerals that are subject to China’s export restrictions, the publication recalled. At the same time, almost all of the US military’s supply chains for these minerals depend on at least one Chinese supplier, so Beijing’s restrictions could cause major problems for the US military.

In addition, Western buyers told the newspaper that China was requesting detailed information about the purpose of the purchased minerals so that they were not used by Western companies in military production.

In early April, the Chinese Commerce Ministry said that Beijing had placed 16 US companies on an export control list to control the export of dual-use goods. As the New York Times noted, Beijing has suspended the export of a wide range of critical minerals and magnets, which are needed, in particular, to assemble cars, drones, robots and missiles.

In June, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter, that China had agreed to resume issuing rare earth export licenses to US automakers and industrial plants, but limited the permits to six months. Reuters also reported, citing people familiar with the matter, that China had not committed to granting export permits for some specialized rare earth magnets that US military suppliers need for fighter jets and missile systems.

Rare earth elements are a group of 17 metals that are widely used in high-tech devices, including computers, televisions, and smartphones, as well as in defense technologies, including missiles, lasers, transportation systems, and military communications.

Tulsi Gabbard Determined to End CIA’s Operation Mockingbird

AP Photo/Julia Demaree Nikhinson
Kevin Downey Jr.    August 03, 2025

Former Democratic Party presidential hopeful and current Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is giving the CIA an enema, and she’s putting the hose where it is most needed: in the sketchy, unofficial offices of Operation Mockingbird, the CIA’s not-so-secret department dedicated to propaganda.

FACT-O-RAMA! Operation Mockingbird was created in the late 1940s to spread anti-Soviet propaganda through news outlets. It was later weaponized for use against Americans. Operation Mockingbird is the grandfather of “fake news.”

The CIA has been bribing/threatening/installing journalists to do their bidding since the beginning of the Cold War. It is believed they had/have roughly 400 journalists, news reporters, and publishers throughout the world, writing what the CIA tells them to write.

In the mid-1970s, Operation Mockingbird was exposed by the Church Committee, led by Senator Frank Church (D-Idaho). The committee found that the CIA, the FBI, the NSA, and various other alphabet agencies were illegally bugging, wiretapping, and harassing people, even Americans, the most notable of whom was Martin Luther King, Jr.

FACT-O-RAMA! Former FBI Chief J. Edgar Hoover believed MLK Jr. was a communist. He may have been correct.

The Church Committee slapped the CIA on the wrist and told them to end Operation Mockingbird, but, exasperatingly, the committee didn’t provide any oversight to make sure that Mockingbird was dead. According to the Church Committee Report on Foreign and Military Intelligence of 1976 (page 455), Mockingbird thrives to this day.

Watch Robert Kennedy, Jr. explain how some of the fake news crims, including Rolling Stone and Vox, are nothing more than CIA-run rumor mills.

COINCIDENCE-O-RAMA! Operation Mockingbird was first exposed by journalist Carl Bernstein in Rolling Stone. Today, RFK, Jr. believes the CIA has control over the very same apocryphal rag mag.

So that leads us to where we are now.

Tulsi Gabbard believes Operation Mockingbird isn’t merely still alive and kicking, but that  it’s being used to slander President Trump. 9In my opinion, it is also being used to spread globalist codswallop.) Even better, Gabbard is dedicated to tearing it down.

IMHO-RAMA! Operation Mockingbird has also taken over various television shows, like the soon-to-be kaput Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

What you’re about to see is not comedy. It’s tragically cringeworthy propaganda being progenerated by a globalist shill who needs to be drummed out of the comedy community forever.

Welcome to late-night brainwashing, courtesy of, I believe, Operation Mockingbird:

DNI Gabbard claims she is dedicated to ending the unofficial “Operation Mockingbird.” I can’t be more giddy.

I suspect there are no hallway signs at the Pentagon stating “Operation Mockingbird Offices This Way,” and thus stabbing the problem in its heart may prove difficult.

Operation Mockingbird is likely why your hirsute thing-in-law believes Trump said to take “horse pills” to beat COVID, which came from a bat salad, and so many other lies we’ve seen pushed by the media.

I believe the darker threat isn’t fake news, but the seemingly unquenchable thirst for more of the same. Killing Operation Mockingbird is integral, but teaching leftoids they’ve been lied to for decades is the true challenge.

Watch this video, and the meaning of the name “Operation Mockingbird” will become terrifyingly clear:

Klaus Schwab Left With Nothing and He’s Not Happy

He Said You’d Own Nothing. Now He’s Lost Everything

By George Christensen

He told the world we would own nothing and be happy.

Now he has nothing, and you can bet your last dollar he isn’t happy.

Klaus Schwab, the architect of the World Economic Forum (“WEF”) and the smug, self-declared steward of the global elite, has been exposed. Not by some fringe outfit or anonymous conspiracy theorist, but by his own people, his board, his inner circle, his trusted allies.

Let that sink in: the WEF has turned on its founder.

Klaus Schwab’s downfall is so complete, so total and so grotesque in its detail that it reads like satire. But it’s all real. Nation First covered the early whistle-blower revelations back in April, our epic X thread was viewed by over 8 million people and shared 20,000 times, including by General Michael Flynn. (Click HERE or below to check out that thread… don’t miss the cheeky AI image on post 3!)

And now, everything we warned you about has exploded into the open.

Schwab has been facing a brutal internal investigation commissioned by the WEF’s board of trustees and led by the Swiss law firm Homburger. Leaked preliminary findings lay out a pattern of behaviour that is nothing short of pathological.

Let’s start with the money. Schwab and his wife, Hilde, allegedly racked up more than $1.1 million in questionable travel expenses, including $63,000 in luxury trips to Venice, Miami, Seychelles and Morocco, with no proof of business justification. That’s not to mention the 14 hotel massages he expensed (half of which he only reimbursed after getting caught), the WEF-paid landline and mobile phone for his maid and the Forum-funded driver used during their private vacations.

Schwab tried to justify it all, saying his wife had chaired the Schwab Foundation without pay since 1973, that he had a good-faith understanding with the Forum to cover travel costs and that the driver doubled as a security precaution. He claimed to donate most gifts to charity and defended his fixed salary of 1 million Swiss francs plus a 100,000 franc entertainment allowance.

Then there’s Villa Mundi, a lavish mansion bought with WEF money next to its Geneva headquarters, supposedly used for official business. It turns out Hilde Schwab allegedly controlled access to the entire estate, reserved a floor for their private use, and brought in a designer the Schwabs had used for their personal projects. That’s $50 million in WEF funds. Much of it originating from hard-working taxpayers paying for politicians to attend this talkfest of the rich and powerful. All gone.

And while the WEF was telling you and your children to eat bugs and reduce your carbon footprint, Schwab was popping Moët and soaking up in-room massages on someone else’s dime.

Still not sick enough? Try this: Multiple reports have confirmed that Schwab personally intervened to manipulate the Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report to serve his own political goals. He directly ordered WEF staff to lower the UK’s post-Brexit rankings to prevent the Leave camp from gaining momentum. In fact, Schwab outright told staff the UK must not see any improvement because the results could be exploited by Brexit supporters.

This was never an honest economic analysis. It was a political weapon.

It gets worse. Investigators uncovered sexually suggestive late-night emails to young female staffers, a workplace culture driven by fear, intimidation and outright discrimination. Pregnant women were allegedly sidelined. Older women were pushed out. Staff referred to their environment as a “fiefdom” ruled by one man’s ego. Some even formed a support group titled “WEFugees.”

The rot wasn’t just behind the scenes. The whole Davos spectacle had become a grotesque parody of its own messaging. While WEF press releases called for rebuilding trust, reducing inequality, “eating ze bugs,” and saving the climate, the reality on the ground was luxury cars, ski chalets and $1,500 bottles of champagne. Escort agencies in the region even reported a surge in demand during the forum, with sex workers hired under non-disclosure agreements to service elites who spent the day preaching virtue.

And when the walls finally closed in, Schwab lashed out. He filed a criminal complaint against the anonymous whistle-blowers for defamation and coercion. He raged at the board for leaking investigation details, accusing them of betrayal.

“I feel deceived,” he moaned.

Behind the scenes, Schwab had wanted to leave on his own terms, gradually transitioning into a non-executive role and handpicking his successor. He floated names like Christine Lagarde of the European Central Bank, but that plan fell apart. The WEF board wasn’t waiting anymore. After receiving the whistle-blower complaint, trustees moved fast to try and salvage the WEF’s reputation. Schwab demanded that the probe be dropped within 24 hours. They refused. Why?

Schwab utterly failed in his leadership to bring about the Great Reset as planned. Now, the globalist elites want him gone. The whistle-blower, the allegations, and the media leaks are all coordinated moves to delegitimise him and strip him of any leverage, so he is in no position to challenge his successor. As long as he was useful, his misconducts were tolerated. But now that he has outlived his purpose, expect more scandals to suddenly surface, increasingly aggressive media coverage, and eventually, if he refuses to quietly fade into obscurity, a sudden news of his Epstein-style “suicide.”

How ironic. He will end up with nothing.

But what of the WEF?

The investigation is still ongoing, with final results due by the end of August, but the writing is already on the wall. Schwab has resigned. Davos is in panic. WEF trustees are leaking like a sieve. The entire edifice is cracking under the weight of its own arrogance.

For decades, Schwab operated with impunity. He handpicked global leaders, dictated policy through backdoor panels, and pushed a vision of top-down technocracy dressed up as benevolent progressivism. And now, the man who promised the Great Reset is being reset by the very machine he built.

What happens next? Expect more media spin. Expect damage control. Expect talk of “reform” and “new leadership.” But don’t be fooled. This isn’t one bad apple. It’s the rot at the core.

The WEF is corrupt, compromised and collapsing from within. Not one more taxpayer dollar should go to support it. Not one more government minister should attend its champagne-drenched summits in Davos.

It is time for governments worldwide to cut ties entirely.  Because this isn’t just about Klaus Schwab. It’s about what happens when unelected elites are given free rein to rule behind the curtain, immune from scrutiny, answerable to no one but each other.

The WEF has failed. It is finished.

Let it burn.

A final thought: Let’s hope Klaus Schwab doesn’t go down quietly or isn’t “Epsteined” too soon. Because as long as they’re fighting each other, the rest of us, the 99.9%, can rest easy knowing they’re too busy tearing each other apart to plot their next grand technocratic scheme against democracy and sovereignty.

How South Sudan’s Informal Economy Keeps It Alive

Hidden Strength: South Sudan | Africa's New Directions

Hidden Strength: South Sudan

Directed by Akuol de Mabir (2025)

Film Review

Link: Hidden Strength: South Sudan

Nine years after the 2013-2016 civil that led it to separate from Sudan, South Sudan is the world’s youngest country, as well as the world poorest. It’s economy is almost totally informal, which means its government has no registration or tax records for its businesses – and no record of the wealth they generate. Increasingly South Sudan’s informal sector also provides public service, including schooling.

The filmmakers interview a number of women who have started small businesses – restaurants, tea shops, car washes, market stalls, etc – because income their husbands earn in the formal sector is inadequate to support the family. One woman started a small business when husband abandoned the family to marry a second wife.

All the women complain about their businesses becoming sluggish due to massive increases in commodity prices.

Unlike the formal sector, South Sudan’ informal sector has better access to resources owing to a large pre-existing social network. This often helps them source commodities and lower prices.

The filmmakers also interview a man who runs a water delivery business. He has a college degree and formerly worked as an administrator but couldn’t make ends meet because many pubic sector employees haven’t been paid in nine months.

At present the major of government sector employees rely on the informal sector to survive. Political analysts credit the robust informal sector with preventing a famine in South Sudan.

Trump’s Brain

Dmitry Orlov

As you may or may not know, Donald Trump was elected to do a job. If you think that this job is to try to Make America Great Again (MAGA), then that’s a piece of false information you will need to unlearn. There is no known force in the universe that can make a country with a GDP of $30 trillion and total public debt of around $150 trillion anything other than bankrupt. The rough $150 trillion number is federal debt of $37 trillion plus non-discretionary spending which was written into laws that Congress is afraid to touch and which now amounts to quite close to 3/4 of all federal spending.

It also amounts to roughly 3/4 of all the value held within the United States by its governments (state, federal, local), its corporations, its banks and its citizens. When that debt goes “Poof!” — as it inevitably will — and, consequently, the payments either stop or are rendered worthless by inflation, Americans, on average, will lose 3/4 of their wealth, although it is far more likely that most people will lose just about everything — through a combination of economic depression and hyperinflation — while the rich will continue to get richer.

[…]

So, what is Trump to do? To answer this question, all we need to do is to examine who stuck him there. And it turns out that it was a bunch of billionaires!  The reason they would want to stick him in the White House is obvious: they have the information I outlined in the preceding paragraph and want to use the time that remains to stop being billionaires and to start being trillionaires. The clever way they thought up of doing it is by having Trump rock the financial markets back and forth, telegraphing his moves to his friends ahead of time, so that they could use insider trading tricks to buy the lows and sell the highs, getting richer each time.

For a time, Trump was doing rather well by them. His first ploy was to use tariffs. He would announce ridiculously high, punitive-prohibitive tariffs against this or that country, with the rationale that the country in question was running a trade surplus with the United States and that this was somehow unfair. Businesses reliant on imports for their revenue would rush to stock up on imported products before the tariffs kicked in. Then their stock prices dove, giving Trump’s billionaire friends a chance to snap them up cheaply. But then Trump would announce a delay during which a deal could be worked out with the country in question and importers’ stock price would recover, giving Trump’s billionaire friends a chance to unload them profitably. But then enough people realized what was going on and this trick stopped working.

And so Trump tried another ploy. He would force officials from countries that are essentially US colonies — have US troops stationed on their soil and are under tight political and financial control by the US — to sign ridiculous deals according to which they agreed to buy huge nonexistent quantities of US oil and gas for which they had no use and to invest huge, nonexistent quantities of money in nonexistent US industries. The list of US-occupied vassal countries includes all of the European Union, the UK, Japan and South Korea. These manipulations would once again present wonderful insider trading opportunities for those who knew the details of the deals beforehand and could trade stocks and futures profitably… before everyone realized that the deals are all fake.

Along the way, Trump also attempted to rock the energy markets by threatening to impose 100% tariffs on all US-bound exports from any country that bought oil or gas from Russia. Since Russia’s exports of just the oil amount to 3.5 million barrels a day — a quantity which the other oil producers would be hard-pressed to make up for — Trump’s billionaire friends could have theoretically profited from a large spike in oil prices. But then the two largest importers of Russian energy — China and India — told Trump to go pound sand and the plan fell through.

Trump could have come up with some other, similar plans, such as threatening the world with starvation by blocking Russian grain exports (Russia exports grain to over 100 countries) and have his billionaire friends profit from a huge spike in grain prices, who would buy up grain futures ahead of his announcement and sell them at the peak. But then Trump lost his mind.

He probably lost his mind well before then, but it only became blatantly obvious now. What triggered him was a social media post by Dmitry Medvedev, vice-chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. He also has some people on his staff who troll people whom the Russians generally don’t like. Everybody knows that this is a bit risqué and somewhat inappropriate, but it’s good for the morale. Responding to Trump’s shortening the already ridiculous 50-day timeline for “ending the Ukraine war” to just 10 (or 12?) days, Medvedev’s little troll army wrote:

“Trump’s playing the ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10. He should remember 2 things: 1. Russia isn’t Israel or even Iran. 2. Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country.”

Trump responded: “Tell Medvedev, the failed former President of Russia, who thinks he’s still President, to watch his words. He’s entering very dangerous territory!” This is already quite bad: here’s the supposed “leader of the free world” (to use that old epithet one last time) being triggered by an internet troll.

But then Trump went from just inappropriate to something truly ridiculous, shifting a social media flame war with an internet troll to the domain of nuclear deterrence: “I have ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that. Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances.”

This is not an appropriate response. This is a careless, unreasonable and downright demented reaction. Medvedev’s trolls’ reaction to Trump’s reaction was measured and calm: “If some words of the former Russian president cause such a nervous reaction in the entire, formidable US president, it means that Russia is right in everything and will continue to go its own way.”

What Trump ordered to have done in response to a fairly obvious point made by Team Medvedev (which is that serving an ultimatum to a nuclear power is ipso facto a nuclear escalation) is not only illegal but reckless. The US is not ready for a nuclear confrontation with Russia and probably never will be again.

The “two Nuclear Submarines” (sic.) Trump refers to are Cold War era relics of which only 14 are left, built between 1981 and 1997 and carrying Trident and Tomahawk missiles. Meanwhile, Russia has updated its nuclear submarine fleet by 100%, outperforming the obsolescent US fleet in all direct indicators of efficiency while upgrading its missile defenses to a point where old Tridents and Tomahawks are no longer too much of a challenge. On the other hand, the US has no means to intercept the new Russian missiles. Therefore, even if Demented Admiral Trump were to send two nuclear submarines to threaten blogger Medvedev in his Kremlin lair, and even if he were to send all the ancient tubs out on patrol, nothing in the arithmetic of mutual deterrence would be changed. But could he have?

No, he couldn’t have. Because over the past thirty years a comfortably sedate pattern has been established for the Cold War remains of the American nuclear submarine fleet of the Ohio class: four or five submarines loiter about in designated patrol areas. These are, as everyone who is interested can pinpoint with arbitrary precision, in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans while in the Indian Ocean their acoustic signatures have not been detected in a very long time. The same number of these venerable tubs is to be found in a state of conditional combat readiness in the vicinity of certain US naval bases, undergoing extensive maintenance and major repairs. Once these efforts succeed, the tubs are fumigated, ventilated, new crews are trained, and off they go into the Atlantic and the Pacific to entertain the seamen of the world’s maritime powers with their clangs, creaks and groans as they loiter about.

The remaining vessels are suffering from senility, arthritis, prostatitis and other age-related ailments and reside at the various naval hospices, where they remain… you guessed it, “conditionally combat-ready.” Supposing they could be made to move, where would Admiral Trump send a couple of conditionally combat-ready nuclear submarines to sufficiently terrify blogger Medvedev into never trolling Admiral Trump again? To the Arctic? Let’s be serious, the American subs have no competencies for navigating under the ice, which is now routine for Russian ones. Instead, they could drift aimlessly around the North Sea, periodically being hailed in Russian-accented English by nearby surface ships curious to know whether they have been able to pinpoint the whereabouts of the errant blogger Medvedev.

Who can tell what is eating away at Trump’s mind to such an extent that he threatens a nuclear response to a perfectly reasonable bit of trolling from a known troll farm? Perhaps it’s his billionaire friends clamoring for more insider trading schemes. Or perhaps it’s the fact that he’s got his privates stuck in a Ukrainian vise between “It’s Biden’s war” and “It’s Putin’s victory — and Trump’s defeat.” Or it’s simply time for his brain to be decommissioned. His father and his older sister both went senile around his current age. Alzheimer’s was the diagnosis, I vaguely recall to have overheard somewhere.

Maybe it’s that, or maybe in his case it’s frontal lobe dementia. Empathy and emotional stability are particularly vulnerable to neurodigenerative disorders affecting the ventromedial prefrontal cortex, and some of Trump’s symptoms, such as thinking it would be a good idea to build a Trump Gaza Resort and Casino, or to send nuclear subs to settle a score with a Russian internet troll, manifest specific problems with empathy and with self-control.

The American Academy of Pediatrics: Mining Children for Profit

By David Bell August 2, 2025

American healthcare is currently providing us with an excellent lesson in what capitalism looks like in the absence of a moral framework. The biggest losers are America’s children.

The Union Profiting from Childhood Sickness

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the major professional association of North American pediatricians, has overseen the rising rates of chronic illness and medicating of American children over recent decades. With 67,000 members in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, AAP distinguished itself during Covid-19 for its strident insistence that children’s faces should be covered and they should be injected with modified RNA vaccines, despite knowing from early 2020 that severe Covid-19 was very rare in healthy children.

Funded by sources including Moderna, Merck, Sanofi, GSK, Eli Lilly, and other pharmaceutical companies, the AAP’s members are the cornerstone of the rapidly increasing pediatric pharma market in North America – by far greater than any other region. As a professional organization dedicated to ensuring income for its members, the AAP is like any similar professional association or union and acts in this manner.

The loss of trust in the medical profession since 2020 is fortunately removing the misconception that AAP-like medical societies were primarily altruistic, dedicated to the welfare of others rather than their members. The recent publication of AAP priorities, developed by its membership, should reinforce this loss of trust and so, despite its unusual callousness of approach, serve ultimately to strengthen public health by exposing more clearly the motivations of those profiting from rising illness.

Setting Priorities to Ensure Long-Term Profit

The AAP’s first stated priority is to remove parents from any authority when it comes to decisions on whether to inject their children with various substances produced commercially by its sponsors. While this should be ridiculous, it has some chance of succeeding as the ultimate beneficiaries, apart from pediatricians, are the same pharmaceutical manufacturers who heavily sponsor the election campaigns of most members of the US Congress.

Of relevance, promoting or abetting chronic disease in children ensures almost certain chronic disease through adulthood. The AAP is therefore helping to set up lifelong pharmaceutical consumers. Pharma companies are purely for-profit entities, and this is exactly what their CEOs and executives are charged by their shareholders with promoting. The AAP is simply acting as a very willing enabler.

The AAP considers that bodily autonomy is subservient to State-imposed requirements and that the post-World War II human rights of non-coercion and informed consent are subservient to the opinion of someone receiving money to perform an injection. Its approach coincides with the pre-War technocracy movement or medical fascism (in which a declared ‘expert’ decides on imposing healthcare measures rather than the patient themselves choosing it).

However, before discussing bodily autonomy and coerced medicine further, it is worth commenting on the priority list of the AAP overall, as it is fascinating, coming from a group that insists publicly on prioritizing the health of children.

Firstly, what is not there. Among the ten priorities of the AAP of which the elimination of parental rights or religious or cultural exemptions over vaccination of children is the highest, there is not a single mention of what are perhaps the three most prominent issues facing children today, and widely discussed publicly; increasing obesity and the epidemic of autism that the CDC heralds as of extraordinary proportions. While the AAP notes this problem elsewhere, it concentrates on identification and management rather than cause identification. Nowhere among its ten priorities is there any expression of interest in identifying and addressing the causes of rising chronic illness. The closest is a mention of lower costs for childhood insulin injections. The AAP’s priority list ignores diet and reducing levels of physical activity while actively promoting medicalization, seemingly oblivious to the quite catastrophic reduction in health status of the very populations they claim to be serving.

Unsurprisingly for a purely marketing organization, but inconsistent with a science-based healthcare body, the priorities include nothing regarding very obvious concerns of the impact of over 70 vaccinations, with their associated adjuvants and preservatives, now given to children by ten years of age. This number has grown from just a few 40 years ago in association with the deterioration in child health outcomes. The only interest expressed in vaccines is to remove choice from those concerned about such things, and force compliance. For a society of thinking, truth-seeking people this would be extraordinary.

Parents as an Obstacle to Return on Investment

The justification reported from AAP President Kyle E. Yasuda, M.D., FAAP for removing any remaining personal choice regarding prophylactic medical treatment (vaccination) is “the measles outbreaks” in North America in recent years. Jesse Hackell, MD, chair of the AAP’s Committee on Pediatric Workforce, notes that they were associated with the deaths of two children, the first in “many years.” The AAP simply states, regarding safety, that vaccines are “safe,” a stupid claim in medicine and biology in that adverse events do occur to injected organic substances and metal salts, and they vary from person to person (if rare events occur, then ‘safe’ is a relative term). Associations with recent DTP injection and sudden infant death are, for example, fairly well documented.

Regarding measles, it is likely that many AAP members mean well, but are genuinely misinformed regarding the impact of mass vaccination. In wealthy countries including the United States, nearly all measles mortality ceased before mass vaccination was commenced. This is not controversial – it was once stressed in medical school and is well established in national health statistics. An underlying improvement in nutrition, particularly in micronutrient deficiencies, was a likely reason. Mass vaccination then greatly reduced circulation of the measles virus, but could have only a limited impact on overall mortality. Therefore, weighing costs of vaccination (adverse events) against a very low likelihood of averting early death or disability is a real issue, and to ignore it by just reiterating ‘safe and effective’ is ignorant and foolish.

Measles vaccination is good at stopping transmission because it is very effective at preventing infections from being established. This efficacy is significant to the argument that having many vaccinated is a public good. Nearly all vaccinated people will be protected, and at no risk from the unvaccinated. Thus, mass measles vaccination really only makes sense if it is accepted that people should not have freedom to choose over their own bodies and healthcare, or that of their children. The very low measles mortality, far lower than drowning even before mass vaccination commenced in the United States, effectively removed an argument for overriding parental rights. Unless, of course, we are also going to ban children from swimming or walking near rivers or on a beach.

Lastly, regarding concerns over vaccination, many parents are uncomfortable with the role of cells harvested from induced aborted fetuses, often still alive at the time of harvesting. Again, many AAP members may believe the rhetoric that this is untrue, but nonetheless it is factual. It is how we derive cell cultures to develop many vaccines, so the DNA of these dead unborn humans can still contaminate the injection. The AAP, as an institution, officially holds that cultural and religious concerns arising from this should be overridden.

So, in the end, the AAP’s argument seems to come down to one of two possible drivers.  Either (1) they have an ideological belief that they should simply be the authority or decision-makers on children’s healthcare rather than parents (a medical-fascist approach), or (2) they see their role as promoting an extremely lucrative market for their sponsors, from which they also directly benefit, and setting children up for an entire lifetime of chronic illness and pharmaceutical consumption. It is challenging to decide which is less noble.

A third possibility is also possible. Most AAP members are simply going with the flow and have not actually stopped to think through the implications of their union’s policies. However, the motivation for willfully ignoring rational thought probably does come down to a mixture of money and ego, which goes back to the two potential drivers mentioned above.

Medical Fascism Should Have No Future

The AAP will almost certainly continue its path of child polypharmacy, blind adherence to protocols based on the products of their sponsors, and denigration and exclusion of the opinions of parents who recognize the stark reality of deteriorating health in North American children. Parents reading the AAP’s list of priorities would be foolhardy to then entrust their children to such care. Providing that politicians retain integrity and respect freedoms that most assumed were guaranteed in the US Constitution and through basic human rights norms, the AAP will fail in its endeavors and become increasingly irrelevant to public discourse. If they get their way, we will return further toward an approach we thought we had fought wars to overcome.

Fundamental rights of each human to make their own way in life, and protect and oversee their children, underpin any decent societal model. In fascist societies, such decisions are removed and taken into the hands of experts and authoritarian institutions. The people must simply comply as slaves. Medical professions and their academies have a long history of supporting such approaches, and the AAP seems increasingly determined to replicate that path. It should receive all the respect that such an indecent approach deserves.

Canada still arming Israel despite official ban

Canadian firms play a central role in maintaining the F-35 jet, which has been used to commit hideous atrocities in Gaza.

By Wyatt Reed – August 1, 2025

In the course of a week, Canada accused Israel of violating international law, announced Ottawa will recognize a Palestinian state, and sent aid to be airlifted to Gaza. But a shocking new report makes clear that the proposed 51st state still arms Israel’s death machine.

Canada sent at least 391 shipments containing bullets, military equipment, weapons parts, aircraft components, and communication devices to Israel since late 2023, despite Ottawa’s repeated claims to have ended weapons deliveries to the apartheid state, a new report has revealed.

By sifting through data from the Israel Tax Authority, researchers at Arms Embargo Now discovered what they called “a continuous, massive pipeline of Canadian weapons flowing directly to Israel” comprising over 400,000 bullets, multiple shipments of cartridges, and a variety of parts for Israel’s fleet of F-35 fighter jets. Since mid-2024, Israel received four shipments of Doppler Velocity Sensors, which provide navigation data needed for the F-35’s target acquisition and weapons delivery systems, five shipments of lightweight composite panels used by the planes, and two shipments of Modular Product Testers, which are used to diagnose problems on Israel’s air force fleet.

Of the 391 deliveries identified, the report’s authors were able to track direct 47 shipments of military gear with detailed commercial shipping records sent by Canadian companies to Israeli companies. 38 of those shipments were sent to Israel’s biggest military firm, Elbit Systems, and its various subsidiaries.

In March 2024, the previous Canadian administration claimed to have halted all permits for arms shipments to Tel Aviv, after the legislature passed a non-binding motion declaring that “Israel must respect international humanitarian law” and that “the price of defeating Hamas cannot be the continuous suffering of all Palestinian civilians.” In the following months, then-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau insisted Canada no longer facilitated Israel’s horrors, going as far as publicly chiding one concerned Palestinian, “we’ve stopped exports of arms to Israel.”

But just before the apparent shift in policy, Ottawa greenlit a massive number of permits for Israeli-bound weapons deliveries, front-loading hundreds of orders in an apparent attempt to preemptively circumvent their own ban. Of the $30.6 million in military equipment sent to Israel in 2023 – the highest yearly total on record – $28.5 million was approved between October and December. Even today, many of those shipments continue to be fulfilled. To date, just 30 permits for military deliveries have been cancelled by Canada, which made that decision following a similar move by the UK in mid-2024 after the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel was violating international law.

“The Canadian government appears to have pursued a strategy of rushing through a record-breaking number of arms export permit approvals to Israel prior to publicly committing to pause approving any new ones,” Arm Embargo Now explained in their report. “This was then quietly undermined by a series of exceptions and loopholes,” researchers wrote, suggesting “the government’s policy shifts were… aimed at diffusing public criticism while maintaining material support.”

Other Canadian institutions to have assisted Israel’s genocidal siege include a number of its universities. A separate report published by Just Peace Advocates found that in 2023 up to $100 million went completely untaxed as it was funneled to Israeli universities from their ‘charitable’ arms in Canada. The money went to a variety of schools with strong ties to occupation forces, including Israel’s self-described “academic home of soldiers,” Bar-Ilan University, which took in around $4 million that year.

In addition, nearly $17 million was sent tax-free to Ben-Gurion University in 2023, which bragged of having “transformed itself into a back office for war” in October that year. Months later, Ben-Gurion announced the creation of two new “elite academic programs for future [Israeli military] recruits, as part of preparations for the transfer of IDF technological units to southern Israel.” The university says it works “in tandem” with the Israeli Air Force Flight School and claims to have trained around 1,000 pilots for military service.

Also receiving untaxed funds was Israel’s Weizmann Institute of Science, which has been described as “the incubator of most nuclear weapons work in Israel.” Weizmann has well-documented ties to a variety of Israeli spies implicated in efforts to steal nuclear secrets, and drew international attention after it was partially destroyed in a retaliatory Iranian airstrike on June 15.

According to Just Peace Advocates, Canadian sources delivered over $36 million to the Weizmann Institute in 2023.
