On Tuesday, one of the nation’s more prominent, left-leaning groups urged Joe Biden not to run in 2024 with a six-figure “#DontRunJoe” ad campaign.
RootsAction is the group behind the extensive campaign. The far-left group describes itself as “dedicated to galvanizing people who are committed to economic fairness, equal rights for all, civil liberties, environmental protection.”
This week, the group launched the six-figure ad buy in an attempt to block Biden’s 2024 nomination.
The group posted about the campaign on Twitter, saying, “President Biden has been neither bold nor inspiring and his prospects for winning re-election appear to be bleak, RootsAction announced today that we are launching a campaign to prevent his renomination.”
The group noted their influence: “With an email list of 1.2 million current supporters in the US, we are committed to nationwide organizing to prevent Biden from being the 2024 nominee.”
This week, the group launched the six-figure ad buy in an attempt to block Biden’s 2024 nomination.
The group posted about the campaign on Twitter, saying, “President Biden has been neither bold nor inspiring and his prospects for winning re-election appear to be bleak, RootsAction announced today that we are launching a campaign to prevent his renomination.”
They are pushing the hashtag #dontrunjoe to help further the campaign’s reach on social media platforms.
The group went on to cite recent polls, showing that Biden’s approval has consistently dropped since taking office.
“94% of voters aged 18 to 29 want someone else other than Joe Biden!!! Older generations always say how it’s this generation of youth that will save us all. Well – why don’t we listen to them for once?”
RootsAction states on its website that the group’s “immediate goal” is to “dump Biden” because of Biden’s string of failures.
The group notes that under Biden’s leadership, the nation is experiencing a baby formula shortage, 40-year-high inflation, record-high gas prices, and a record amount of foreign nationals crossing the southern border.
“Our immediate goal within the Democratic Party is to ‘dump Biden,’ much as the anti-Vietnam–War forces among Democrats set out to ‘dump Johnson’ in 1967, which led antiwar candidates Eugene McCarthy and Robert Kennedy to enter the race,” RootsAction said.
The group joins many others who are speaking up, sharing hopes that Biden will not seek re-election in 2024. Even The New York Times has put a lot of focus to uncover the nation’s disdain for Biden.
Polling shows Biden is in bad shape with Democrats. Only 26% of Democrat voters support Biden’s re-election, while 64% of Democrat voters prefer a Biden substitute, according to The New York Times.

This is true, Sasjal. My experience with partisan politics (in the distance past) is that rank and file members of any political party are given no voice in the choice of candidate. They’re just expected to do what they’re told.

I forgot to add the [/sarc] tag though, but yes. I see that alot here in Sweden. Many parties represented in the parliament have totalitarian boards, causing dissatisfaction, irritation, discomfort etc., among the active members. MSM refuse to report this, as the “top” politicians like to keep the lid on. Nevertheless, every now and then, some information slips though the cracks …
The leading party (Social Democrates) is now running an ad on national television, with the PM promising to fix all the mess in the country. Politics is an area, where those who create mess shouldn’t be among those actually fixing it! The problem is that the very same party, along with the pseudo greens, has been at the ‘steering wheel’ for almost two mandate periods (eight years), doing nothing but making promises and breaking them. (Almost, they have raised taxes – alot! Cut down health care, police etc. Blaming others, including Putin and Trump.) As we all should know, Socialists don’t keep their promises … (Which reminds me about a religion, where the worshipers are allowed, even encouraged, to lie to infidels. Socialists likes this religion, forgeting what happened in Iran …)

While I don’t believe replacing Biden will really fix anything, so much as replacing the system that uses him as a meat puppet… I nevertheless find stories like this immensely entertaining.
