Recently a leftish liberal friend told me that the United States under the Donald Trump had “become a lethal society.” My friend cited the neofascist Trump’s: horrible family separations and concentration camps on the border; openly white-nationalist assaults on four progressive nonwhite and female Congresswomen; real and threatened roundups of undocumented immigrants; fascist-style and hate-filled “Make America Great Again” rallies; encouragement of white supremacist terrorism; alliance with right-wing evangelical Christian fascists.

I can agree with that. Many apocolyptic
wnlightenment cults in america that evolved in the late nineteenth century were white supremacist and christian idendity in nature.
On the other hand the Nazis comendeered many of those ideas for their brutal and fiendish Final solution.
Martin Niemöller was a German Lutheran pastor and theologian born in Lippstadt, Germany, in 1892.
I read the book about him and his letters some years ago.
Niemöller was an anti-Communist and supported Adolf Hitler’s rise to power at first . He could not stomach the racist christian idendity movement, that was enforced on German Christians, after Hitler and the Nazis came to full power.
I lived in the western United states most of my life. There were strong Christian-Idendity
groups in the intermountain west, in places like Idaho, Montana and Utah. There was such a group where I grwup.
I asked my minister about them. He had nothing good to say about them. I went to the library and learned that their theoly was rascist in its origins.
My father said I should be careful about associating with kids that were associated with it in school.
One kid bragged about how his dad had run over and killed an american indian and got away with it in school when i was in gradw school.
Hitler insisted on the supremacy of the state over religion through rascist Christian Idendisty theology after thw nazis had assumed totalitarian power. As a warning to Fundamentalists, atheists and other i point out that Even though Niemöller, was a luthern Minister with strong anticommunist sentiments, he spent the last 7 years of the third reich in concentration camps as a slave laborer. He said that groups of camp prsioners, were rountinely rounded up and executed by firing squads or mass hangings.
Niemoller was the leader of a group of German clergymen opposed to Hitler. Niemoller’s phone was bugged by the Gastapo. He was one day, taken from his home and incarcerated in the mass Nazi Concentation camp system in Germany that also existed in a highly centalized human cattle system in europe where wvwn former good caucasion citizens were systematically worked to death, starved to death and executed. There were millions of them. 120 million souls btally and sytematically murdered by the Nazis before and during world war 2. Children women., and supposedly good Germans. Martin was scheduled to be executed at Dachau before he was liberated. There were multiple gas chambers in europe so do not buy into this Nazi bullshit.
There were Germans, Gays, Feminists, Free thinkers, artists multiple political prisoners, bohemians as well as the many ethnic groups that were murdered in the largest network of slave and death camps in human history. Martin was frees in 1945 by the Allies.
This deranged clown thing and its cult is glorifying these things now. They do not care about nuclear catastrophe or nuclear war
