Britain’s shame as teachers have to turn to foodbanks to feed hungry school kids

Teachers decided they couldn’t bear to see hungry children watching other kids eat any more. Support from the foodbank means some children receive free school meals, while food is heavily subsidized for others.

  1. But not to worry, there’s plenty of money for hi-tech military hardware, membership in NATO and facial recognition security systems. So it’s all good, right? Or is that RIGHT?

    • My impression, Sha’Tara is that the current British parliament is totally paralyzed because all the energy of their minority government (and media) is taken up with the impasse over the Brexit debate. This leaves the corporate oligarchy totally free to run the country as they please.

  2. As bad as it is in UK, it is worse in murica. Gym classes at charter schools, held in parking lots. Teachers buying materials and books, for classes. Working 60 hours a week for slave wages. Homeless children picked up at tent cities. Rural homeless children, living in cars with their parents. Kids going to school sick amd starving. School shootings.
