A plane carrying the first batch of humanitarian aid from China arrived at Simon Bolivar International Airport in the northern Venezuelan city of Maiquetia on Friday.

  1. Rosaliene, I heard a very interesting interview by William Engdahl last night maintaining the attempted US coup against Venezuela is really about China – not oil. Apparently China is heavily invested in Venezuela. He also talked about an offshore oil field that Venezuela and Guyana are disputing the territorial rights to. It’s important because most Venezuelan oil is “heavy oil” (like tar sands), which is very expensive to process. The disputed oil is the good stuff.
