I am glad you posted this because they are screeching and yelling about a measles outbreak in Washington state.

A SOUTHWESTERN Washington county has declared a public health emergency over a measles outbreak as cases mount among unvaccinated children.
Since Jan. 1, health officials have confirmed 22 cases of measles in Clark County, up from 16 confirmed cases last week. An additional three cases of the highly contagious viral infection are suspected.”

Health officials are telling parents with children who are too young to get the vaccine to keep their children at home. They are even telling adults that they may be susceptible since it has been so long since they were vaccinated and that the vaccinations they received were not powerful enough at the time they were vaccinated and so they could come down with this potentially deadly, contagious infection. They are also banning children from attending school in the areas of the outbreak if they cannot produce vaccination documents. I think it is going to come to a point of “Papers, please!” We’re probably there already.

I find the caution to keep children too young to get the vaccine at home very strange – given that the first dose of MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) is given at 9 months. These people need to get their story straight.
