CIA and Subsidiaries Exposed in Court Documents As Active Drug Smugglers Using Military Aircraft Washed Through Forest Service

2013 – Marines’ Deaths Linked to CIA Narcotrafficking

“The US Forest Service’s C-119s were grounded in 1987 due to safety concerns. In need of aircraft to fight forest fires, the US Forest Service organized a deal with DOD and the GSA to exchange the grounded aircraft for C-130A and P-3 Orion aircraft for C-119s.

Gary Eitel, a Washington lawyer and Vietnam pilot who flew CIA missions in the late 1980s, blew the whistle on the aircraft swap program by filing hot line complaints with USDA and a qui tam lawsuit (A qui tam lawsuit allows private citizens to sue on behalf of the government). Eitel alleged that the swaps were illegal and the former military aircraft were used by the CIA in covert operations to fly cocaine into the…

What Happens After the Donbass Elections? Unprecedented People’s Support for Donesk and Lugansk Sovereignty

By George Eliason

On November 11, 2018, I was in Lugansk People’s Republic (LNR) as an election observer for the national election along with people from twenty-two countries. The elections in Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics (DNR) were necessary because of the assassination of DNR’s Head of the Administration Alexandr Zakharchenko and the resignation of LNR’s former Head of the Administration Igor Plotnitsky.

In the run up to the election and in its aftermath, i was able to interview several officials from the Russian Federation and Lugansk People’s Republic. I took statements from the Deputy Foreign Minister in LNR, an OSCE election observer who was on his way to monitor the US mid-terms, and the mayor of Stakhanov which is a city in LNR.

The real questions revolve around what the elections mean to each party in the scope of their work?  And how will this affect the Minsk peace negotiations?

The elections themselves had the power to make or break the new republics. If the turnout had been low, it would have meant that people voted no confidence in the young states and would have signaled they were failing.

Instead, the voter turnout was among the highest recorded anywhere in recent memory. Lugansk People’s Republic had a 77% voter turnout and DNR came in with 80%.

Instead of the election outcome being determined by the results, this election is getting parsed by commas and period placement. While no one is actually arguing whether the election was legal or not, Ukraine is arguing its legitimacy, ie, it may be legal but it’s not right to do [ . . .]

Food Corporatization and Hunger: Exploding the PR Bullshit

Food Crises, Food Regimes and Food Movements

Eric Holt Gimenez (2014)

Film Review

In this presentation Food First executive director Eric Holt Gimenez neatly explodes the common corporate PR myth that global hunger stems from inadequate food production.

According to Gimenez, global food production has been increasing by 11-12% annually for the last 40 years. Presently farmers produce sufficient food to feed 10 billion people, which is more than enough to the predicted 9 billion predicted (by current fertility trends) before global population levels off and decline

The real reason one billion people are currently “food insecure” (ie starving) is the corporatization of the global food system. Corporate food production stems directly from a post-World War II economy in which war industries geared towards the production of tanks and (fossil fuel based) explosives were retrofitted to produce tractors and other farm machinery and (fossil fuel based) fertilizers and insecticides.

The So-Called “Green Revolution”

By the 1960s the global North was saturated with these commodities and the Ford and Rockefeller families (and their pro-corporate foundations) shifted their focus to Third World farmers via the so-called “Green Revolution.”

Simultaneously World Bank and IMF policies forced indebted developing countries into structural adjustment programs that compelled them to produce export crops and purchase their food from the global North (which was overproducing).

Once third world farmers ceased to produce their own food, they became were exposed to the risk of starvation with every spike in global food prices.

With the advent of NAFTA, the WTO and similar free trade treaties in the 1990s, these structural adjustment polices were enshrined in international treaty law.

Coerced Immigration

An important secondary effect is what Gimeniz refers to as “coerced immigration.” When NAFTA came into effect in 1994, one million Mexican farmers went bankrupt due to their inability to compete with cheap agricultural surpluses the US dumped on the Mexican market. Gimeniz maintains most of them work in the US now.

The good news is that only 30% of global food production is industrialized. Seventy percent remains in the hands of Third World farmers, who are organizing to resist further food corporatization.

Obama’s Accomplishments

How soon we forget.

friendsofsyria's avatarFriends of Syria

The brilliance of American propaganda.
Here’s a list of Obama’s accomplishments –
* Gave Bush absolute immunity for everything.
* Launched 20,000 air strikes his first term.
* Repealed the Propaganda ban, making it legal to spread government propaganda via news outlets.
* Signed the Monsanto Protection Act into law, thus doing the exact opposite of labeling GMO’s as promised.
* Pushed for the TPP Trade Pact.
* Did a TV commercial promoting “clean coal”
* Opened up deepwater oil drilling, even after the BP disaster.
*Opened up dumping fracking wastewater directly into ocean.
* Bragged about his use of drones – I’m “really good at killing people.”
*Assassinated 4 US civilians with drone strikes.
* Deported a modern-record 3 million immigrants. More than all other presidents combined.
* Used Espionage Act to prosecute more whistleblowers than all previous administrations combined.
* Sold $30 billion of weapons to the dictatorship…

Sometimes What Trump Says is True

The fairy tale about the U.S. standing up for freedom and human rights in the world is one of the most pervasive and powerful prongs of western propaganda, the one relied upon by U.S. political and media elites to convince not just the U.S. population but also themselves of their own righteousness, even as they spend decades lavishing the world’s worst tyrants and despots with weapons, money, intelligence and diplomatic protection to carry out atrocities of historic proportions.

Amazon’s Black Friday sales could be severely disrupted by walk-outs over what staff have called ‘inhumane conditions’ at five UK warehouses.

Insiders at the GMB Union have said protests in Rugeley, Milton Keynes, Warrington, Peterborough and Swansea could clash with the shopping surge at the end of this week causing problems for the online giant.

Sources told BuzzFeed News staff have been ‘knocked unconscious’ and suffered broken bones while at work for Amazon.

International Book Fair in Venezuela: Being Educated Is the Only Way to Be Free

“I would be lying if I said that I saw a single person sleeping in the streets of Caracas like what I see every single day a few blocks from where I live in the city of Oakland, California.”

Global Research, November 21, 2018

filven-1-400x273From November 8 to 18, 2018, Venezuela was the vibrant scene of the Fourteenth International Book Fair (FILVEN) that took place in the historic center of the city of Caracas. Bolívar Square, one of the most important and recognized public spaces in Venezuela, was decorated with shelves and displays of books from all over the world. The featured country this year was Turkey. Special tribute was also paid to the Venezuelan poet Ana Enriqueta Terán, as well as to the newspaper Correo del Orinoco which was founded by Simón Bolívar in 1818.

During the fair there were 111 exhibitions with more than 565 activities including book presentations, awards and tributes, a children’s pavilion, forums, conversations and meetings, workshops, poetry recitals and artistic performances.

I had the honor of being invited to participate in FILVEN along with a group of writers, authors, editors…

9-11: Anatomy of a Great Deception

9-11: Anatomy of a Great Deception

RT (2017)

Film Review

The first 9-11 Truth documentary I’ve seen on RT, this film takes a unique approach to explaining why 9-11 was an inside job. It’s based on independent filmmaker Dennis Hooper’s 2014 documentary 9/11: Anatomy of a Great Deception.

Hooper was always troubled by the Secret Service failure to evacuate President Bush from the school he was visiting in Florida – despite the knowledge that the US was under attack by foreign terrorists with hijacked airplanes.

Like many of us, he was also troubled by the collapse of Building 7. Located more than a football field away from the Twin Towers, its collapse couldn’t be explained by structural damage or fires fueled by jet fuel. Adding to Hooper’s concerns was the failure of the official 9/11 Commission Report  to make any mention of Building 7 – despite persistent demands by 9/11 Families for a “scientific” investigation into its collapse.

The film proceeds to lay out an extremely lucid explanation, based mainly on the detailed work of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, why structural damage (from planes) and jet-fueled fires couldn’t possibly cause the collapse of three buildings at the World Trade Center.

For Hooper, the most significant evidence is the pools of molten steel first responders discovered in the building rubble. Steel melts at 3,000 degrees F, while kerosene (ie jet fuel) fires produce a maximum temperature of 1,800 degrees F.

Making use of extensive footage produced by the 9-11 Truth movement, Hooper walks viewers through extensive evidence documented that all three World Trade Center buildings could only have been brought down by controlled demolition.*

Moreover the discovery of military grade nanothermite (which is only produced at the Los Alamos National Laboratory) leaves absolutely no doubt that people at the highest levels of government were complicit in bringing down the WTC.

Clearly a postscript to the original film, the last 29 minutes consists of a a strange interview in which Hooper blames the 9-11 attacks on a 2,000-year-old conspiracy orchestrated by Satan and the Forces of Evil.

*Controlled demolition is the tearing down or razing of man made structures via the detonation of carefully timed explosive charges.

USA Prepares to Add Venezuela to Its Terrorism List – Its Got a Lot of Oil You Know

The Washington Post reports that the Trump administration is preparing to add Venezuela to the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism in what would be a dramatic escalation against the socialist government of Nicolás Maduro, according to U.S. officials and internal government emails.

The (American) list is reserved for governments accused of repeatedly providing “support for acts of international terrorism,” which includes only Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria.

Countries, where terrorism is endemic to daily life in more recent years, are quite often those that America and its allies have attacked, namely: Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, which are not mentioned in their list. There are other countries in the same region who should be on that list, that isn’t.

Republicans have long accused Venezuela of having ties to terrorist organizations but experts all over the world have played down any such assertions. They warn that the legitimacy of the U.S. list is applied inconsistently anyway.

Relations between Cuba and Venezuela, since 1902 were aggravated by the Cold War but then changed towards defending themselves from a common enemy – America.

It is a Cuban American politician that is calling for the terrorism designation? He has clamoured for a tough U.S. posture toward Venezuela, a longtime backer of the Castro regime in Cuba.

In the meantime, the proven oil reserves in Venezuela are recognised as the largest in the world, totalling 297 billion barrels, currently worth well over one trillion dollars. Saudi Arabia was knocked off the number one slot just a couple of years ago in terms of known reserves.

Another stunning statistic that should surprise absolutely no-one with an internet connection, is that Venezuela also happens to be the largest supplier of oil to the United States, sending about 1.5 million barrels per day.

Not paying for that would be good for America’s economy, as would stemming their supply to America’s competitors.

During a press conference with Calixto Ortega, the president of the Central Bank of Venezuela on Tuesday, Economy Vice President Tareck El Aissami said in early October that all future transactions on the exchange market would be made in euro, yuan and “other convertible currency” instead of the US dollar.

It should not be forgotten that Iraq’s Saddam Hussian had gradually converted from the dollar to the Euro in the years leading up to the second war that reduced the country to rubble. In fact, the process was completed only months before the US-led coalition invaded. Gadhafi’s plan to quit selling Libyan oil in U.S. dollars — demanding payment instead in gold-backed “dinars” (a single African currency made from gold) — was quite possibly a cause for their demise. Libya now boasts open slave trade markets and human trafficking as one of its sources of income after being turned into a failed state by a NATO-backed coalition fronted by Britain, France and the USA.

Before Syria was attacked, it produced 338,000 barrels of oil a day – today, that figure is just 15,000 barrels. The US, largely seen as having failed in its bid to oust its leader and destroy the state, now occupies 30 per cent of the country including the areas containing most of its oil, gas and water. The bombing damage to Syria’s infrastructure is estimated to be in the region of $250 billion. In a bid for further security, Syria has now signed oil and gas agreements with Russia.

As for Venezuela, one could assume the usual American playbook of destabilisation strategies to be deployed very soon.
