Article was published several months ago – I just discovered it recently.
Solar power is making huge strides as a reliable, renewable energy source, but there’s still a lot of untapped potential in terms of the efficiency of photovoltaic cells and what happens at night and during inclement weather. Now a solution has been put forward in the form of producing energy from raindrops.

Looks promising if they can unmask the properties of CARBON https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon witch makes up 18% of us. Just about every thing else in Electronics is TOXIC.

Good point – carbon is extremely plentiful and as a pure element nontoxic.
