I’ve read a couple of articles about this.
It’s disgusting and criminal!
French women should all be raising hell, as should French males with a conscience, a true respect for women, and a sense of justice!!

I heard the women who designed these today, and she said there was nothing religious or political intended.
Women used to be harassed and arrested for showing too much, and now they are being harassed for wearing too much.
What an insane asylum this planet is. But at least the courts are doing something!

A great outcome. Australian designed burkini is now running red hot. Over 800 000 burkinis have been ordered/ sold already.

The whole controversy is an example of how culture is not your friend. Politically correct liberals chastise someone who would ban a garment that perpetuates the worst sort of patriarchy and a so called democratic society tries to legislate fashion in the manner of medieval sumptuary laws in reverse.

Good point, lazycat, especially about extreme Islamic culture being the worst form of patriarchy. I’ve always found it odd that Islam was definitely tending the other way – towards more freedom for women – until the US and British intelligence got heavily involved in funding extremist groups and backing the medieval Saudi regime that spawned them.
