CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A North Carolina man accused of trying to recruit people to join the Islamic State group says he had been paid by the FBI since 2009 to help identify potential terrorists.
In a statement his mother delivered to The Charlotte Observer (http://bit.ly/2b42fyx ), Erick Jamal Hendricks said his code name was “Ahkie,” a variation of the Muslim term for “brother.”
Hendricks also said he’s been outspoken against IS and all extremist groups. He added that he’s baffled as to why the FBI accused him of terrorist ties.
Lisa Woods said her son dictated the statement to her in a Wednesday phone call from jail.
Hendricks was arrested Aug. 4 in Charlotte on a charge of providing material support to a terrorist group.
The FBI declined comment on the Hendricks statement.

MSM has revealed that the FBI uses informants to cook up “terror cases” in MOST terror cases. Since much of the documents (other than privileged Grand Jury minutes, etc.) are public record, it is hard for the FBI to deceive the public and MSM about this:

Wow, I’ve seen lots on social media about this. For the Guardian to report it, that’s pretty mainstream. I’m not sure that many Americans read the Guardian. Have you seen anything in the US press?

What would be even more impressive is if some meaningful oversight curtailed some of this clearly overreaching behavior on the part of the FBI. They have entrapped poor people, people with mental disabilities, and, even the developmentally disabled/extremely low IQ.

I sincerely hope this kind of deception is limited to the privileged classes, Rosaliene. It’s certainly extremely rare among my circile of friends.
