Would you eat foods irrigated with fracking wastewater (full of cancer causing toxins like benzene and other noxious petrochemicals)? Guess what, if you’re eating California produce you already are!

    • We’ve been doing it here in Taranaki for at least 10 years (we’ve been fracking for 20 years). They call it “landfarming” – spreading fracking wastewater on pasture, growing grass and then grazing cows on it. Then we turn it into milk powder and sell it to China. I think we’re trying to get back at them for all the lead paint in the toys they’ve exported to us.

  1. It strikes me it’s more in the name of profit and greed. I see no progress here. We need to be developing renewable energy and leaving fossil fuels in the ground – otherwise there’s no way of avoiding catastrophic climate change.
