Dedicated activists in Los Angeles forced the end to federal militarization of law enforcement on a hyper-local level, demonstrating the power of a bottom-up approach when confronting federal power.

That is great news! I am glad the activists did not give up because it is a shame that young children have to see uniforms and weapons on their way into school. This militarization of this shithole needs to cease. What is wrong with US?

I think they do it deliberately – that they deliberately brutalize poor and minority children to terrorize them into submission. This way they don’t demand jobs, food, housing and rights as adults. It teaches them to blame themselves – instead of the ruling elite and their sick political system – for their problems.
