“While everyone has a right to profit from their original product . . .”
No, no, and no.
Withholding a so called medical “procedure or product” necessary to someone’s welfare and survival because “the right to a profit” is being infringed, is “willful murder,” no matter how you want to rationalize that.
Medicine — and everything else, for that matter, but especially anything that is essential to anyone’s life — should not under any circumstances be “for profit.”
Wow. Capitalism, as an ideology, really runs wide and deep, eh, even among would be critics or reformists of the monstrosity.
Patents and intellectual property — like so much else that is property (and that and nothing but, the institution of property, is “the monopoly”) — kills. Why is this so hard to understand?
