This 23-year old Dutch man name Boyan Slat has invented a technology to remove the plastic garbage that is destroying the natural marine ecosystem that is ultimately responsible for human survival. He has raised $22 million via crowdfunding to install floating screens to collect 42% of the largest Pacific plastic garbage patch over the next ten years.
