(NaturalNews) In a welcome announcement during a press conference today, President-elect Donald Trump announced a plan to shatter the monopolistic pricing of Big Pharma that has been draining literally trillions of dollars from the government for the past two decades.

“Pharma has a lot of lobbyists and a lot of power,” said Trump. “There’s very little bidding on drugs. We’re the largest drug buyer in the world, and we’re going to start bidding. We’re going to start saving billions of dollars on drugs.” (RELATED: See more coverage of President Trump at Trump.news)

Trump is referencing the fact that all the former Presidents in recent memory — Clinton, Bush and Obama — have maintained what can only be called a “monopoly pricing drug cartel” in the United States, where the U.S. government pays outrageously high prices for prescription medications purchased via Medicare, federal health coverage plans and VA Hospital operations…

SO HE CLAIMS HE WANTS TO DRAIN THE SWAMP. THERE ARE MANY SWAMPS, THE QUESTION IS: WILL THE SAME ONES JUMP IN THE WATER WHEN FILLED, TO INFLUENCE THEM WITH BRIBES, AND THOSE THAT ARE IN THE WATER, WILL THEY COME OUT AND JOIN THE OTHERS??? AS I HAVE ALWAYS SAID, WE DO NOT QUESTION THE ETERNAL CREATOR YAHVEH (GOD), BUT MANKIND WE DO. I HAVE ALSO SAID, THE LEFT GOT DUPED BY OBAMA, AND NOW THE RIGHT WILL BE GETTING DUPED BY TRUMP. SOME HOW I GET THE FEELING THAT SECRETLY BEHIND THE CURTAINS OBAMA WILL BE HELPING TRUMP; AFTER ALL TRUMP DID ADMIT HE WAS A GOOD PRESIDENT. ALL I CAN SAY ON THIS NOTE, HERE WE GO AGAIN!

In the 1980’s AZT was the most expensive drug in history costing about $1,000 a month per patient. Now Hep-c, aids, and cancer drugs routinely run into the 6 figures per annum per patient. It is unbelievable that this approach did not come sooner. The Pharma index outperformed the S&P 500 for years on end with an average 30 percent return until Hillary started jawboning during the democratic primaries.

On a personal note, I had a doctor’s visit last year, and I was complaining about IBS and my A1C was 6.8 on Metformin. My insurance did not cover Xifaxan and I laughed when they told me a two week course was $1700. I went on a low carb diet of under 200 carbs a day on average for 3 months. My IBS improved and I lowered my A1C to 5.8. It’s a vicious cycle, we are accustomed to high carb/ high calorie diets, advertised on T.V. and in supermarket display cases, and then we have pharma companies pushing costly pill alternatives to deal with bad lifestyle choices.

    • What really gets me, PeaceFrog, is that so many doctors are misinforming their patients to eat low fat, high carbohydrate diets – despite 50 years of research demonstrating there is absolutely no link between animal fat, cholesterol and heart disease.

A recent AP article attempts to present Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy as Kooks for talking about an investigation of the efficacy and safety of vaccines. The article titled “Trump asks skeptic to probe vaccine safety, alarming doctors” is a carefully crafted vacuous “Argument From Authority and Intimidation” defending the $41 billion dollar a year vaccine industry from any reasonable attempt to independently and reputably investigate the safety and efficacy of vaccines.
